*** How would the AI be improved in our new Total War game ***
Total war game is excellent and is very remarkable in the game history.
i love it very much!!
i think the most important improvment needed is about the AI.
if the AI is improved, this game will be much much much better ever!!
while Creative Assembly is making a new total war game, what suggestions will you give to them in order to improve the AI(both Campaign AI and Battle AI)?
i hope that our ideas can benefit our future games.
i am really a fan of Total War!!~~~~~~

The way the Ai works is in units. If one member of the unit isnt ready than the whole unit wont fire. The only way to fix this problem is to make seprate ai for each unit in a squad.

I'd like to see smarter campaign map behavior from the AI.
Maybe let each faction spend 1 minute "computing" its next moves instead of being instantaneous as it currently is.
Sure it would slow the game down, but a more cognisant AI would be great.
Parallels can be drawn with the improvement in Chess programs. The dumb ones move right away, the smart ones compute a few moves into the future with a given set of variables, and choose the best moves to make.
I believe with campaign map AI scripting like that, it would eventually become impossible for a human to win. inb4 Kasparov
