[Resource] For original STW modders: region_unit_resources
You know, Kyoto police in FOTS is only recruitable in Yamashiro. I was wondering how to make that possible.
I find out that there was entry in Kyoto police that stated "kyoto".
So I tried with yari ashigaru by entering "kai", and "totomi", ..... so forth. Result: CTD before even loading!
I tried and tried and tried but failed. But somehow I managed to figure it out. Hence the upload.
Now, for example, let's make yari ashigaru recruitable in mikawa province!
1. First, download the attachment. It should be db.zip
2. In PFM, open the latest patch, delete the original region_unit_resources file and put my file in the table.
3. go to unit_stats_land and go the region unit resources and type jap_mikawa.
4. Save and exit. Open shogun 2.
5. If you start as tokugawa, yari ashigaru will appear, but if you start other factions(except for oda) like takeda, you will not see it in the recruitment tab.
Re: [Resource] For original STW modders: region_unit_resources
As I have found this out, it's high time that I started making my mod, but it makes me go mad to make
Aki Y.A, Bitchu Y.A., Owari Y.A., Kai Y.A., ........
Yeah although most province's units are same. Aki, Satsuma, Echigo, Kai, Owari, Mikawa, Sagami have different quality ashigaru, but most provinces have many in common.
After that, I try to pose a different limit to all units according to the historical goku. Owari had roughly 570000goku, Omi had 776000 goku, Hida had 38000 goku, Yamashiro had 225262 goku, Iga had 100000 goku, Mikawa had 290715 goku, Musashi had 667126 goku, ... and so on.
And historically every 10000 goku stood for 250 soliders. Among 250, about half were combatants. So, 10000goku->125soliders.
Normally samurai to ashigaru ratio was 2:3 or 3:7.
With these data, I'm going to set up my mod.
Also, You have to know ashigarus are not tramps, but professional soliders. Late Sengoku-jidai saw the transform of ashigarus from farmers and peasants to professional soliders. So they are not poorly trained. Also not levies.
I'm going to make 2 tramp units. They are vagabonds, earning their living with all sorts of work. Their loyalty is very low, but recruiting them is easy.
Teppo Tramp, Yari Tramp. They are recruitable in markets.
I'm also adding ronins to markets.
This is the brief overview of my mod that are currently planned. ^^ Comment please!
