THERA: No Sound

Yes, I know this should go in the mod forum but I've tried and that forum is just dead so I'm hoping for help here.

Basically I've been struggling to download Thera: Legacy of the Great Torment for about a week now. I finally got it downloaded and working the other day using a torrent someone posted up but now that it's working there's no sound. There is no music, no sound when clicking buttons and battles are completely silent. The only sound comes from event pop-ups and that's it.

I tried downloading it again from the main download links (non-torrent) and installing it that way, thinking it might be something wrong with the torrent. But I installed that today and it's the same story. The mod works but no sound. Any suggestions on what I can do? I was thinking maybe of deleting the sound files in the mod folder so that it would hopeful revert back to the vanilla sounds, which I'd be happy with.

Do you have sound in vanilla on all these would be the first question.

When I saw the download links and all the Capchas these old eyes don't like for version 4, I gave up downloading it.

One idea would be to delete the Thera folder made by the torrent and then install the good one. These installers do a very bad job of overwriting old files.

Ah sorry had no internet for the whole weekend. Thanks for the reply.

And sorry forgot to mention, I checked the vanilla game and there is sound.

There is no installer with this mod. It comes in a .zip file and you have to unpack. I tried both versions(torrent and non-torrent) seperately and both had the same issue, I didn't overwrite anything

No there doesn't seem to be anything wrong there. I was looking at the sound folder and there seems to be only files for one culture but it's hard to know since I've nothing to compare it to and I didn't work on the mod. Sorry mate, I know it's probably frustrating helping someone when it's on a mod like this, thanks for the help though

I know this sounds dumb, but it's worth a shot.... Make sure in your options the mute button isn't checked.
