Qualification Thread for the CdeC - Patricians

As required by the Syntagma:

The Consilium de Civitate is a body of Patricians, ‘Site Elders’ and Senior Staff. All members of this Civitates Council must have at least three months experience as a Civitate and have no active warnings at the time of the election.

Patricians, if you are interested in applying for one of the 8 seats on this Councils - This is for applications only. No discussion is allowed. If you have any queries then please either PM me or another Hex member; or open a thread in the Curia.

edit - If you wish to add a para supporting your claim, you may do so. Ideally it would be appreciated if any 'electioneering' was kept to this. Thanks.

In defence of my application, I will merely say that I hope my reputation (not reputation points) speaks for itself.
I will consider the merits of each and every applicant for each and every position that they are presented for. I believe that this is all we can and all we should do.

edit: apparently, my reasons for applying are required, so I will say what most others have and will said (with good reason) - I want to help make the site a better place, and reviewing the new incoming civitates (the lifeblood of this site, in my eyes) is a very good way to do this.

After all my talk of Patrician status meaning something I would like to have an active role in seeing that it happens.

Please note that I have approximately two years of almost completely free time to devote to the site (before beginning Seminary), and would like to do all that I can to make TWC what it can be. This shall be the beginning and the end of my "electioneering".

I would like to apply for a position on the council.

I have always wanted to help the site and give something back to this vibrant community, however time restrictions prevented me from applying for staff. The council of peace was my first step but it appears to be far less of a help than i had originally envisaged. I would like to sit on this council so that i can continually work for the TWC and see my work in perpetual action.

I cannot say much for myself as i do not like to talk about myself in an arrogant fashion, as such all i can give you is the promise of my best efforts.

Anyway i will also apply for a position as Patrician on the CdeC (assuming i am a patrician.. i think i am..) mainly because its fun to do, but also because its good to help out the community and with the new chanegs, this is probably one of the best ways to do it, other than moderating.

My qualifications are.. elected CdeC member for two months, elected staff member for two months, general contributor to most areas of the forum in some way or another.

I'll throw my hat into the ring.

I've been a member of this site (Though under 4 alias ) since March of 2002, though it was Gamercastle back then. I've seen people come and go on TWC, and i've learned alot over the years, especially the past 1 1/2. Almost exactly 1 year ago today I was accepted into the rank of Civitate.

My contributions to the site, to be honest, have almost never been curial. Most of the attempts I have tried have failed miserably, save my thread on giving Archer Imperator status, as Sulla had been inactive, that thread is I suppose, My only big "curia" thread. My participation in the Common Community is where I "shine" if i may be egotistical . If we are measured upon other contributions, I am currently one of the leaders of Imperium:Total War, a mod for RTW:BI.

Anyways, I suppose that is it, and I hope that a great council is chosen.

I'm Peloponnesian Forum War-Game Team member and a moderator in the Forum RPG section and work as a librarian in the Scriptorium. It's hard for me to write down speech like this, but I will promise to do my best as an CdeC member if I'm chosen to the position.

With regard to a campaign speech, haha....

I've been active on the forums for about six months now, holding Civitate rank for five of them. In that time, I've never seen a warning, usernote, or caution of any sort. Further, I've been very active in the Curia since becoming a Civitate, which I think is a very good way to familiarize oneself with the "elected" sections of forum government. If elected, I will as always try to be impartial and weigh each case on its merits rather than personal attachment. Thank you.
