Question about Kyoto Police
Hi folks! ^^
You might have noticed kyoto police can only be recruited when you have captured yamashiro province.
Nowhere can you recruit that unit.
So, I have a question.
I have created units like
"Owari Yari Ashigaru", "Totomi Yari Ashigaru", "Tosa Yari Ji-samurai", "Satsuma Teppo-Yari Samurai", "Kozuke Yumi Ashigaru", and so on.
You can see that I have made every provincial units. They all have distinct stats. Like "Owari Yari Ashigaru" have long yari but very low melee,
"Mikawa Yari Ashigaru" has quasi-samurai morale and very high melee among Yari Ashigarus.
My question is: How do you make a unit recruitable only in a specific province? Don't speak AOR. I have seen a tutorial regarding "AOR(aka Area of Recruitment)" but I deem it as irrelevant to my demands.

Re: Question about Kyoto Police
Maybe you can as Hazbones; his mod Mettle Blades and Skill is quite similar to what you are doing now.

Re: Question about Kyoto Police
He means not only learning from tutorials, but also by reverse-engineer other mods...I'm not on my own PC now, so I can't check it right now...but find a column in units_tables for province requirement, there is one (See Kyoto Police's entry...it should be there)I agree, MBS AOR works in a far more complicated ways than what you simply need...

Re: Question about Kyoto Police
Hi I've seen your comment. I already was aware that there was an entry named Kyoto in the Region IDRef of the Kyoto Police. But when I entered jap_mikawa to yari ashigaru, the game simply crashes during the black loading screen. It also occured when I switched it to mikawa. Any ideas?

Re: Question about Kyoto Police
start_pos_region_to_unit_resource may have it: Kyoto IS there, after all.
By the way; looks like a good mod! I'm looking forward to it!
