Default Campaign CTD -when cursor over a free-people(brigand) army

Hi guys, i'd like to get a solution to a pretty curious problem.
I'm playing RSII with Five good emperors submod ver 1.5, and I had a stabile, nice game since summer 2012 (I started my campaign last year about this time), and I had no problems whatsoever (except the usual ones I learned to handle). But now it is the year 687 AUC, and anytime I get near a brigand/free people/ black army on campaign map, i get an instant CTD. ONLY if i have that army in my view. I can play and fight and do anything if there is no brigand army around, but if I accidentally cross my view over one (and I have a few on te map), i have a CTD before having the possibility to even check that army.
I tried to look for the problem in the forums, but could not find any answer. Please someone help me solve this, since I invested many evenings in this campaign and now I am about to have my much expected civil war ( have 89 provinces, 6 more to the civil war), I really wouldnt want to start all over. Any help is wellcome, if there is a soulution and I couldnt find it, please point me in the right direction.
I use win XP, but I dont think it matters, since i have the same rig and same hardware config since the beginnig of game - before anyone telling me to update my drivers or something like that
    Thank you.

Oh and THANKS again for this great mod, it's a work of art, a masterpiece, indeed.

I think I solved it. Looked over all productions in all cities, found that I had a general under "production", and the problem started when that general got born. Deleting the general seem to have solved my problem... I will keep an eye on this matter and give a feedback if the problem occurs again.
