Financial difficulties
So I'm playing with the ayyubids and i have a huge problem with keeping a steady income. I don't know if it's a glitch but out of no where I lose money. I look in the treasury and it says I am making 2000 f per turn, and the projected treasury total for text turn is say 4000 f. Then out of no where next turn I have a negative income and I am in dept 200 f. I'm not spending my money either.
Any help?

Re: Financial difficulties
Nope. There aren't any new generals becoming of age. It's alot of money being taken away out of nowhere each turn. It usually starts after the fatimids are kicked out.

Re: Financial difficulties
Is it possible that you have auto-management switched on? That would mean that the AI spends some money on your behalf.

Re: Financial difficulties
Nope. It seems that there might be something wrong with my installation. I'll try to re install the game and see what happens.

Re: Financial difficulties
Auto-management switches on every time you quit the game and load it up again. Odds are it's on auto management, go to options and allow manual building.
Also try to use the financial scroll to see where that money's going. It's probably going on army up-keep.
The game won't allow you to get more than half a stack of soldiers at first, you'll be in debt as soon as you create soldiers.
I'd advise focusing on maximizing your trade income by building things that help and avoiding combat for now.

Re: Financial difficulties
what is saying the console log? (where you can cheat with add_money)
with the directional keys, on the strat map, just at the beggining of your turn, you should be able to see the last command given by the campaign script?
It could help us to guess if it comes from a campaign script bug.

Re: Financial difficulties
Ayyubids lack strong wealth generating regions... go for Damascus and Antioch
