Default Some questions I cannot find the answers to...

I'm a good distance into my first and only RS2.5 campaign, think I'm in 642 AUC with the Free Greeks, and have loved every minute of it. There are, however some things that I'd like to raise in the hope that I can tweak it to suit even better. 1. Is there any way to increase the maximum settlement population? It is set at 216,000. When enslaving a settlement, the population will increase, but next turn be back to 216k despite having a growth of 5.5% (I love Alexandria). 2. Is there any way for there to be more than one quote on the loading screens? I know each faction has their own quote but it'd be nice for there to be a variety. 3. Is there a way for me to modify the effects of certain traits? I think some should give bonuses to say, troop morale, or a reduction of unrest, and want to know if I can edit the descr to apply this. 4. Any way to encourage the AI to build roads? The AI pretty much refuses to build anything with a negative tax penalty (despite their enormous treasury bonuses). Occasionally a dirt road will spring up. But it pains me to see my beautiful convoys of highway traffic filtering off into nothingness when entering AI territory that I'm "trading" with. I imagine these questions have been asked before but I checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

    Answers to your question

1)I'm not sure but I think it's hardcoded.

2)Yes there is. You have to copy and paste the quotes you want to quotes.txt which is in the text folder and then copy the corresponding strings of the quotes to descr_quotes_lookup

3)Yes. Open export_descr_character_traits and just change the effects of the desired trait.

4)Well, I think you have to cheapen the costs and reduce the tax penalty

I would advise against adding more quotes, they where removed because it was determined that they where causing crashes, who cares about a few seconds of loading screen anyway.

Life is short and usually ends in death...
"The only question that remained was whether the founders knew the final result of their creation, or if they themselves where the victims of a misunderstanding.
In the latter case it was the duty of any thinking human, to press himself into the front of this depraved movement, to perhaps still prevent the extreme, in the former case the founders of this peoples disease must have been true devils; for only in the brain of a monster - not of a human - could the plan for an organisation take meaningfull form, whose purpose must lead toward the end result of a collapse of human culture and thus to the desolation of the world.
In this case only battle remained as a means of final delivery, battle with any weapons that the human mind, intellect and will are able to comprehend, regardless, of whom fate would gift with it's blessing."

You could only have known such things if you had wasted the last six years regularly visiting this subforum, no need to slap yourself...
