    Default Windrider's submod

    hello! I was experimenting with the game files, and modifying things to make the game more interesting/fun.
    Changes include:
    • More money for the underdogs(Lizalfos, Deku, and Darknut)
    • a couple of added units(Lizalfos can recruit Volvagians at a seigeworks, removed the Lizalfos Catapult, as its the most useless thing imaginable.
    • Mounted Hylian knights are recruitable, and i made them recruitable at a normal barracks...the way i saw it, it was no fun not having any cavalry if you lost Lon Lon for whatever reason.
    • I added Local barracks to everyones build menus...so that way when you absorb a faction, you can recruit them anywhere.
    • a few balance changes, but i havent touched all that many units.
    • Twilight armies start with the Arbiter grounds, so that they use the gate to move back and forth. otherwise they dont make it ingame at all.
    • Ikana starts early game, and with a castle. They normally started so late game that they were useless and got run over by Ordona...not anymore!
    • Also, Majora and Hero of time are active in custom battle...feel free to fight as Link or majora! Warning: As they are not fully implemented, the units may be buggy!
    • I also edited the Stalfos, so that they can recruit using a standard barracks. I had yet to add the other races to the stalfos list, only gerudo, Hylian, and Zora Stalfos are available for recruiting.
    • NOTE Gohma were given tons of money, in hopes of making them a catastrophic faction, with the intent of destroying anything. if your allied with them, good for you. if not, watch out! I was hoping to do this with the stalfos, but since i couldnt get them to work, i did it with the gohma instead!



    The Stalfos may be broken, i tried to have them spawn early game, but to no avail, and they crashed upon attacking a settlement. If anyone ever gets to turn 245, let me know if they are functional.

    Also, one other problem, adoption notices are appearing frequently. Just decline them all.

    BACK UP YOUR FILES
    These 2 zips when extracted will overwrite Some HTW files. So back up your stuff!

    The data zip gets extracted here C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule\data

    The Imperial campaign zip gets extracted here C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    UPDATE#01



    • Added Deities to recruitable units
    • Dishonored are now recruitable as mercs
    • disabled Stalfos permanently, until i find a fix for them.
    • added a few surprise units to Ikana, that are fully functional, textures and all
    • added lots of Public order buildings to Twili, to help maintain their "Across the world" Cities
    • a few other things as well.


    Back up your files, and have fun. let me know if there are issues or anything weird.

    looks cool i have to ask you though, how do you make units recruitible at buildings? Every time I have tried I failed. I think you should also work to add more units to the campaign that currently aren't.

    i try, but the only units you can add are if they are already part of that specific faction, or mercs. adding nits from other factions gives them a monochrome color that looks super ugly. ill see if i can find something to show you in a bit.

    have a little read through this the silver surfer monochrome thing means it has no texture

    You should get in touch with this forum. EDU changes (RELEASED). And see if you guys want a fusion submod.

    will definitely try this out before Neph's release, thanks! Any faction in particular which you'd recommend me to play as which you feel you've improved well?

    well ,in terms of Economy, the Twili are much more playable and not as broken. they are pretty fun. Added diplomats to most, if not all factions. And unless you want t be incredibly OP, then go Gohma. They have a crapton of Cash to make them an overruning faction. Ikana is very fun too. I gave them a starting castle with a barracks, so ordona doesnt run them over like they always do.
    Twili, Stalfos, and the Lizalfos are all fun now :3

    Well, here is a question. What do you guys think of me adding Gardens and happiness buildings to the twilight? Public order is one of the top problems of the twilight, especially in maintaining far distant cities, and in some cases, near impossible without a general. Does it seem like a good idea?

    I have a quick question where do i find link ? I found the guardian of majora and 3 other majoras mask heroes or units but i cant find link anywhere even with heroes and mercs on ! I want him so badly in custom battles but cant find him.

    You could give them an arena. I would imagine a war mongering race would enjoy watching fights between natives. You could even add merc recruitment through the arenas!
    I like adding mercenaries and lore appropriate units to buildings.

    hmm, perhaps arena, yes. Libraries too perhaps? I know the twili like their spells and knowlege.

    well, i will try to get an update out tonight perhaps along with a few new units, and ALOT of public order buildings for the twili. Shouldn't be TOO hard, right?

    Well... maybe some minor bugs will pop up. But since it's not complex changes being done, it should be alright.

    yeah, i know, and thanks! I might add Majora units to Ikana to make things interesting now that i know about that. Thanks

    ok, after downing a monster at 10PM, im gonna try to jam out more modifications, including adding a few new units possibly, and adding a few majora units to Ikana. Seeing as Ikana and Majora are hand-in-hand, it would be a fun idea to add Majora units to their roster. That way, a Majora invasion could possibly be simulated. I shall see about it

    well, i had an idea that would turn a useless faction into the Stalfos...but i do not know, and held off on putting it in the update. i was planning on taking the Moblin, a super fail faction, and giving them all the stalfos units. They wouldn't have generals except the Moblin generals...and their units would all be recruitable to make up for the lack of the Generals ability to recruit fallen enemies. What do you guys think?

    I'm all for it. You could also try mixing them together since the moblins have already been shown as willing to follow evil rulers. Either way I'm all for it. +rep
