hello! I was experimenting with the game files, and modifying things to make the game more interesting/fun.
Changes include:
- More money for the underdogs(Lizalfos, Deku, and Darknut)
- a couple of added units(Lizalfos can recruit Volvagians at a seigeworks, removed the Lizalfos Catapult, as its the most useless thing imaginable.
- Mounted Hylian knights are recruitable, and i made them recruitable at a normal barracks...the way i saw it, it was no fun not having any cavalry if you lost Lon Lon for whatever reason.
- I added Local barracks to everyones build menus...so that way when you absorb a faction, you can recruit them anywhere.
- a few balance changes, but i havent touched all that many units.
- Twilight armies start with the Arbiter grounds, so that they use the gate to move back and forth. otherwise they dont make it ingame at all.
- Ikana starts early game, and with a castle. They normally started so late game that they were useless and got run over by Ordona...not anymore!
- Also, Majora and Hero of time are active in custom battle...feel free to fight as Link or majora! Warning: As they are not fully implemented, the units may be buggy!
- I also edited the Stalfos, so that they can recruit using a standard barracks. I had yet to add the other races to the stalfos list, only gerudo, Hylian, and Zora Stalfos are available for recruiting.
- NOTE Gohma were given tons of money, in hopes of making them a catastrophic faction, with the intent of destroying anything. if your allied with them, good for you. if not, watch out! I was hoping to do this with the stalfos, but since i couldnt get them to work, i did it with the gohma instead!
The Stalfos may be broken, i tried to have them spawn early game, but to no avail, and they crashed upon attacking a settlement. If anyone ever gets to turn 245, let me know if they are functional.
Also, one other problem, adoption notices are appearing frequently. Just decline them all.
BACK UP YOUR FILES
These 2 zips when extracted will overwrite Some HTW files. So back up your stuff!
The data zip gets extracted here C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule\data
The Imperial campaign zip gets extracted here C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
UPDATE#01
- Added Deities to recruitable units
- Dishonored are now recruitable as mercs
- disabled Stalfos permanently, until i find a fix for them.
- added a few surprise units to Ikana, that are fully functional, textures and all
- added lots of Public order buildings to Twili, to help maintain their "Across the world" Cities
- a few other things as well.
Back up your files, and have fun. let me know if there are issues or anything weird.
