Default Rome Total War crashes to desktop

    Hello

My problem is the following: my game crashes back to desktop during campaign. It occurs randomly. Just today I was roaming the map when suddenly it fell out. I have this many times. I am now playing only one campaign, I have no saves from other campaigns, my unit scale is on huge included with huge detail for the troops, but other than that things like grass and vegetation are on medium.

To begin with, my Rome Total War game was bought when it came out, so it isn't downloaded However, I am using DarthMod v9.1. It already fell out sometimes before I had this mod, but after I had downloaded RTW patch 1.5

    My computer:
Windows XP Professional (5.1, build 2600)
    Hewlett-Packard
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
    2022MB RAM
    660MB used, 3253MB available
    DirectX 9.0c

It's very annoying and keeps happening.

Check your temps and voltages? Power supply could be on the way out.

Clean your case real good lately? A layer of dirt and a dustbunny in a vent can do this.

If its in your Program Files x86, etc.. Go into your RTW Directory Make a new folder, drag everything foldered into your new folder, call the folder you just made "Corrupt Files, don't use" or something to make you remember to not use the data in there, after youve put it all in the folders re install the game. or update, whatever the case is. sorry for my english, im full Irish.

Irishron, My game CTDs because I have over the 500 unit max for descr_model_battle. I was curious if you knew how many units the vanilla folders had so that I can remove units that I wont need so that I can play Rome again. Thanks in advance

The maximum number is 500 in the export_descr_units.txt and it's hardcoded.

    I don't remember there being a max on descr_battle_models.
