I purchased a new monitor from Tiger Direct. 29 inch wide by 9 inch tall. I also ordered a new comp from MainGear should be here around the 15th of July. Yea, I'm psyched to play the game.

haha, u guys actually prepare yourself for a game? word of advice, don't hype yourself up too much, it is just another game. you might end up disappointed when the game doesn't live up to your 3 months of hype and that will be all your fault. relax, grab a beer/soda, have fun with whatever you do for fun and enjoy the game when it comes out.

“The only rule that ever made sense to me I learned from a history, not an economics, professor at Wharton. "Fear," he used to say, "fear is the most valuable commodity in the universe." That blew me away. "Turn on the TV," he'd say. "What are you seeing? People selling their products? No. People selling the fear of you having to live without their products." freakin' A, was he right. Fear of aging, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of failure. Fear is the most basic emotion we have. Fear is primal. Fear sells.” WWZ

Have you had your daily dose of fear yet? craziii

That's what we're doing lol... It's not like we're wearing shirts that say "ROME 2 TOTAL WAR", we're just relaxing waiting for it and in preparation, or out of hype and expectations, we're playing other Total War games and such...

In preparation for Rome 2? Nothing...
The fact that I'm so hyped for Rome 2 has put me off of playing all the other total war games haha
I can't even play the original Rome now because of the ridiculous AI. I just want to play Rome 2 now
To sum it all up, everything else seems pretty crap right now because of how much better Rome 2 is looking!
I personally invite you to check out my complete combat overhaul which will give you a completely new Rome 2 experience:

Whenever I play vanilla Rome now (running a YT campaign), it just feels so crap compared to what I've played on XGM, RS2, RTR, and EB lol. But, I like it for the nostalgia

I'm gonna be creating a playlist of music to listen to while playing, while the game is downloading & installing.

I sold my old total war games a while back, so i keep searching youtube for videos of others playing it, which i suppose only makes things worse

Default Not Rome 2, but this is what's been keeping me busy

Obviously I've still got a long ways to go.

    Crusader Kings II.

Just finished a wee campaign of that myself, playing as the Duke of Athens. Managed to get my son on the Imperial throne, and slowly but surely refounded the Roman Empire.

Not bad, but I'm a bit tired of it now!

My preparation is to not read/watch anything about ancient era till Rome 2 gets released, since Rome 2 was announced i have:
-Played all TW:s after Empire TW
-Watched all possible docs about WW1 and best ones about WW2
-Watched few movies, both history-related and non-history related
-Played many games, i must name Planetside 2, it is amazing how it is, but it is nothing compared to what is going to be, it has major updated every 2 week, and one time i forgot to update it 3-4 months, i had to download 8GB of patches . Again, it is only alpha compared to what its going to be, yet its better than most games
-Played Hearts of Iron 3 (inc expansions) and Victoria 2 (inc expansions)

For a start. Just anything that is not Rome related, that way Rome 2 feels WAY greater when i get my hands on it
Apologies for anyone who's message i may miss or not be able to answer

Default Good way to pass the time

This seems like a good time to start watching again my complete collection of HBO's "ROME" series. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it as a great time filler for the next 50 days.

Yeah this shows been tossed around a lot at the minute. I hear CA and HBO are 'doing' something apparently.

It's a good show, just wish it didn't end how it did and a bit too short I felt.

EDIT - The guy who plays Marc Antony makes the shwo for me.
