There will be no agent videos!

From the Q&A on Sunday that I went too it was mentioned, when they showed the 'assassination' option a guy asked whether they would be in the game, their response was that there will be a few but they have alot more 'artwork' implemented in the game. We will still have videos for key points in the game though.

Actually I fully support this decision. Some good artwork for events is much better taste than some cheesy video. Civ 5 event pop ups come to mind.

I thought the videos from Shogun 2 were well done, if not exactly historical. It's just that after seeing them more than, say, twice, the novelty kind of wears off.

It's a matter of resources the CA guy said..The game could either have samey looking agents with videos or many different looking ones without.

Of course the videos are funny the first 2-3 times, but after that, I just skip them, so no problem for me.

If that is the case, I wholeheartedly agree with their choice.

As others have said, I think the Agent videos, while interesting and even suspenseful in some cases, get repetitive and annoying after a while. I much prefer the idea of major event or dilemma videos, as well as the Wonders acquisition videos - things that'll hopefully happen only once or twice in a campaign.

As much as I hate to admit it after awhile you just end up skipping the videos as others have mentioned.

Thats not important really, what is important tho is something special for capturing wonders of the world.

But even more important are Faction specific intro videos like in Rome total war (not medieval or shogun), those pumped you up so good.
