    Default Post your future empires!

    Greetings everyone.

Everyone who is excited to play this game almost always have a plan to build an empire using the factions going to be in the game. I am very eager to build my empires too, and I am even more eager to know what people have planned in their minds.

So, here is a 'post your empire' type thread, I wish to know what you guys have in mind.

Here are a couple of mine:

    My planned Roman Empire:

Alexandrian Empire, playing as the Antigonid Macedonia:

    My Carthage:

Notice how I have full provinces with no region lacking. I like to have full control over my provinces, not sharing them with any other faction.

But when I will ignore my house rule of taking full provinces, I will create some different things. I will also take that territory just south of Egypt, the northernmost Ethiopian region. But here are some things I have planned, just for fun -

The Holy Roman Empire, a millenia before the real one:

Taking Rome will be tough, but oh well.

    First French (Gallic!) Empire:

And I will try that on Legendary difficulty, if it is possible.

I have planned more empires and challenges, like taking on the whole map as Iceni and Sparta, etc. I will post them later.

So, what are the territories you guys are planning to conquer, and with which faction? I am eager to know what people have planned to do in the campaign.

For the map, go to THIS thread and see the first post. The last map is a simple paintable one. Download it, and of course upload it on a image hosting site and post the link here.

And a hearty thanks to CanOmer, he did the grand job making this map. If only I can find and +rep him.

Some people like to rule the entire world; I just like having small to modest empires/kingdoms. After I amass a great deal of wealth, I simply defend my lands and bolster my allies. I hope to ally with the Iceni on my Arverni campaign. I have no clue who I'll ally myself with on my Athens campaign. EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think I'll ally myself with Rome (as Athens) and leave Italy alone (if they don't reach the Balkans by then; I want the Balkans!)

Same here. I always expand very slowly, and only to a certain limit, which are always historical provinces. 99% of the time, I never expand at all, just rule my 2-3 provinces and I am happy with it.

I had a game plan in my mind where playing as the Romans, I won't even go out of Italy.

Nice maps though. I would love to see them in action. :

To General Maximus: I do find that fun. Of course, I'll expand like freaking Alexander on some of my playthroughs, but for the most part, I like to remain within my own faction's culture. I have a plan to play as the Arverni and only take the province of Aquitania (or whatever it's called). So, just three cities.

To the OP: I really like that first "Holy Roman Empire" idea; I never would've thought of that. I never planned on playing as the Suebi, but I'll have to take a crack at building the Ancient Holy Roman Empire myself.

With no diplomacy options to forge my borders I'll be forced to play like a noob. Vassals and allies will be pointless so I'll just charge across the map like a mindless teenager.

Very true! Hack and Slay, that seems to be the future to "strategy" games.

Of course they can. This feature has been present since last three games.

Yep, it is definitely fun. One full province is completely enough for a hugely fun gameplay. Besides, I like peacefully building economy more than I like constant warfare.

Thanks for the HRE idea encouragement.

Lol, Kinjo you reminded me of that massacre en-masse I used to do in RTW back in the old days.

Ah...nostalgia. I bet your (and mine) ambitions would be hampered if they implemented anything like that realm divide in Shogun II.

You read my mind with Rome and Macedon. I want to re-create the two greatest ancient empires just as you have listed.
