Default Historical battles - famous sieges

We know that 'Siege of Carthage' will be one of historical battles. What about other historical sieges? Do you think those will be?

I know that won't be siege of Syracuse on campaign map (but should be). I think that 'Siege of Syracuse' is the great idea for historical battle. It was famous and iconic ancient siege. In that siege Archimedes was dead. That siege was in the time of Rome 2. It is important part of Punic Wars and conquest of SIcily.

I think that other sieges like: siege of Jerusalem and siege of Rhodos (not in time of Rome 2, but it was Hellenistic period, too) are good ideas for historical battles, too.

    What do you think, fans?

I would prefer battle of magnesia, we haven't seen (hellenic) cataphracts so far, and i'm sure you want it too Antiochus!
    or do you prefer raphia?

EDIT: Antiochus for a siege battle you know what would be exotic and awesome?, the three years siege of bactria

Perhaps we will see the Siege of Lupfurdum or the Ancient battle siege of Rhogium as historical battles , you know those areas are too empty and they need some spice up .

Jokes apart the Siege of Syracuse is the major Loss on CA side ... they lost the opportunity to create their "cool" shiny things to show audience like the archimede war machines and the Roman ships with mounted siege towers and a siege by the sea wich is totally unique .

I think it's possible that we see a siege of Qart Hadasht/Carthago Nova. Other possible evenets are the sieges of Massilia, Athens, or Alexandria. I'm not that well versed in Ancient Asian history, so east of Jerusalem I have no idea what famous sieges there were.

I don't think it will be Syracuse, Jerusalem, Rhodos or any other city that isn't a province capital. For that matter why should there be more historical siege battles? I need to fire up my NTW to be sure, but I think there were few historical battles in it. So far we know of three battles, all of them on land. There are plenty more mroe famous field battles, and also naval battles.
At best I think we'll get one more siege battle.

Alesia or Numantia would be the most interesting of any siege battles.

They were for the most part blockades - unless you consider the assault of Caesar's lines a siege.

A siege battle in TW means the assault on the city and its fortifications. Neither of these happened at Alesia or Numantia.

numantia was just starving the Celtiberians, so it isnt really a flashy siege indeed.

Pyrrhos Siege of Sparta was in Rome I if I remember correctly. Seeing Pyrrhos' Galatian Mercenaries against the stoic Spartans would be cool to see. Another I would like to see but wasn't in Rome I, was the Siege of Atrax. Romans unsuccessful siege of a Thessalian polis garrisoned by Macedonian troops
