Does anyone know a way, perhaps using the console, that you can check your global reputation as a value as used by the game (-1 to +1) rather than the moniker it assigns (e.g. 'mixed')? I want to do some testing and need to know the raw numbers.

I don't know how to do that, but if you simply want to see what reputation changes occur after an action, you can take a look at the descr_faction_standing.txt file. It lists everything that changes your reputation. If you're playing vanilla, then you need to unpack your game. If you're playing a mod, then they might have a modified file so check that out.
Thanks for your contribution, but I know how reputation is calculated. I'm trying to test the bug fix for descr_faction_standing.txt. I need to see the in-game outcome of various actions I perform as a raw value. I thought I read somewhere a while ago that you can check this, but now I can't find the information anywhere, so I could be wrong on that.

Ah, I see. If you can't find it, you could (very tediously) cheat using auto_win to get your rep up (or down) to maximum, and then (very painstakingly) calculate how your actions change rep.
Doesn't sound like my suggestion is worth bothering about lol...
