    Icon1 Ancient city

Ancient city, it is a great omission CA, This could be a trump CA but instead they made a cartoon map, and several city.
Maybe they not have enough strength to do more cities. Then I want to see the MOD or DLC with a much larger number of cities. Reconstruction of ancient cities, this is what I want to see in Rome 2 in full, as far as possible. Most of the cities may be in as a background for realism map
The problem of sieges can be solved variety of ways.
Most of the cities just for the background. You can capture them without sieges and without immersion in the battle.
Capturing the middle city, you can control the small town.
If you have a large army, you can Capturing a large city you can demand capitulation, the entire province.
Need to think about it, not just remove all the cities on the map, it does not work, it's trash.

Sure, if you want to spend a couple of months taking over Italy as Rome. Taking the whole campaign map should be a task that takes several years at least.

Not 100% sure what that is, but it sounds bad, so I assume that's what I had too.

Well IMHO making a few unique siegeable cities is far better than having a siege fest that is bogging down ur patince and tactycall gameplay swag.

Anyways great thread bro. Yo from central asia man?

This is like the third time you have made a topic about the same thing, or at least I think it is, in truth I find it incredibly difficult to ever make heads or tails out of any of your posts.

You fail to comprehend what the purpose of the campaign map is, CA has never and likely will never go for a totally accurate, 'Google Earth' map; their campaign map's are a characterization of the world. Scales have never been consistent in any Total War game because it has to be made to fit gameplay requirements (such as turns, movement ranges, settlement and character representation, etc).

Also they can't depict every city from the ancient world because it would ruin any attempt at balance, from the historical records you could use several hundred towns in Italy, however, once you reach Germania you would only have like 20. Effectively giving faction there a severe disadvantage.

    Good Point!

You could never have a game that includes just hundreds of cities in Italy, which is not to mention all the other cities in Europe, Asia Minor and North Africa. Gameplay wise it would be a terrible and unworkable idea.

Whenever you do not understand, it's your fault and not the interlocutor.
We want a realistic, interesting game to do this, need to think and not to insult each other

No it isnt. Even a 13 year old can have this ideia.
Why not having all the real cities in Italy, and in the world?
is that a good ideia? its actualy quite simplistic, probably from someone who has very few experience with video strategy games, and with total war games.
It simply isnt feasable. And most probably not fun.

To be honest, I never quite understood what's the big deal with sieges in TW. I mean, after so many years playing TW, battles generally bore me to the death (I tend to focus on the campaign map). In a campaign, first I play my battles with my starting armies and just annex the closest lying provinces, using the maximum of my initial troops. Then I make some money, then I spam some cost-effective units. Then a couple more provinces. Repeat until 3 theaters are Prussian. Now how am I supposed to fight all these battles when I have a job. I autoresolve 80% of everything end just have fun with the special ones, like when I make some mistake and I'm caught off-guard. I have played Empire for 400 hours and I have also played less than 10 offensive sieges there(but one of them last 3 hours in real time!!). I hardly even notice that here are sieges in the game.
