    Default Script error

    I've finnished modding my export_descr_unit.exe adding new units and making my battles last ALOT longer then the original vanilla battles. I'm not the best of modders and i got a few "Script errors". The first few were simple and easy to fix, such as a typo or something similar. But, now i've come across a new script error which has been confusing me for the past hour or so. The show_err
    reads;

    script error in data/export_descr_unit.txt at line 4572 colum 31
    missing skeleton for secondary weapon in model type 'greek_medium_cavarly', used by unit 'greek medium cavalry'

    I go to where the error is {the line and colum} and all I find is this;

    ownership greek, slave * {Error located where the * has been placed}

    I really don't want to have to use my backup files and start my modding from scrach since it's taken me a few days to finnish compleatly. So if any experianced modder has any advice on how to solve this problem i'd be highly greatful.

    thanks alot - Dan

    By the way, sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. I didn't know which one to put it in >.<

    Apparently the problem is in the descr_model_battle.txt file. The unit giving the error has two weapons in EDU and, as a consequence, its associated unit in DMB should have two skeletons.

    Nevertheless, if you could provide a bit more information (i.e. the whole greek_medium_cavarly entry in EDU and its soldier in DMB) maybe I could provide some more help.

    This is the following entry for my greek medium cavalry in my export_descr_unit.txt it isn't that much diffrent from the main entry in the vanilla some slight changes in the moral, defence etc etc. That's why i'm so confused.

    type greek medium cavalry
    dictionary greek_medium_cavalry ; Greek Cavalry
    category cavalry
    class light
    voice_type Medium_1
    soldier greek_medium_cavalry, 27, 0, 1
    mount medium horse
    mount_effect elephant -8, camel -4
    attributes sea_faring, hide_forest
    formation 1.5, 4, 3, 6, 4, square, wedge
    stat_health 1, 0
    stat_pri 10,18, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, spear, 0, 0.7
    stat_pri_attr ap
    stat_sec 7,3, no, 0, 0, melee, simple, piercing, sword, 0, 1
    stat_sec_attr no
    stat_pri_armour 0, 26, 4, flesh
    stat_sec_armour 0, 0, flesh
    stat_heat 2
    stat_ground 0, 0, -14, 0
    stat_mental 15, normal, trained
    stat_charge_dist 50
    stat_fire_delay 0
    stat_food 60, 300
    stat_cost 1, 330, 120, 50, 50, 330
    ownership greek, slave

    Is their any more information i can provide to help ?

    You must look at the entry of greek_medium_cavalry in descr_model_battle.txt file.

    As spear is the primary weapon, you will have the skeleton fs_hc_spearman.

    As sword is the secondary weapon, you must add the skeleton fs_hc_swordsman (check other entries to be sure of the syntax).

    With that change, everything should work properly (unless the cas model has not secondary weapon, but that's another history )

    Adjusting the weapons using the descr_model_battle? O_o i not too sure of how to do this. I thought i had to do it all through the export_descr_unit.txt. Or have i read your quote wrong?

    edit:

    Wait i just had a blonde moment xD I realise what you mean. I'll change and try it now.

    Edit 2:
    Haha, done and dusted. Thank you both for your help.
