Default Capturing Important Structures Instead of Capturing the Capture Points

Hello every one. just saw the Q&A thread and saw that we will have capture points to capture in siege battles for gain victory and dominate the city,But i have an idea that i think it is more cool! How about capturing the city,s most important structures like Palace or Barracks or such important structures or all of em instead of capturing capture points. So the defenders can garrison the structures with their best units and attackers will surround them with their force and kill or capture them or defenders will win and push back the attackers and decrease their moral by killing their frontal units. So two thing would be happen: 1)The attackers can take care of defenders and can dominate the city or capture the remaining resistant forces. 2)The defenders can hold their line and push back the attackers. So they can give up the fight or fight for win. There is no need for capture point with this idea i think. Now what do you think ?!

Default Re: Capturing Important Structures Instead of Capturing the Capture Points

    Hi!
I think it'll be pretty much the same in Rome II
The main plaza is quite an important part of a city, as well as in a 'forced march battle', the baggage train will be the capture point. I think in larger cities such capture points will be a variation of these: the port, the market, the main gate, the barracks, the temple, an important conjuction point etc.
Or do you propose that you should take units inside the palace, inside the barracks, as in Empire, or should these buildings have their own map?
