Can not load a campaign saved game?!

So I was moving my Rome Total War onto my D drive and I did it but I think I still somehow played on it from the game files from the C drive so the campagin saves got saved their and I permanently deleted it but on my D drive I have a early campaign save of that game. So I got a program that restores permanently deleted files and I found my latest save game and I restored it, and put in back where it belongs in my saves folder on the D drive but when I go to load game at the startup menu and click on that save game it doesn't load, it just brings me back to the start up screen, please please help, I've put a lot of time and effort in my campaign game and I started playing for the Seleucid Empire and it's been very interesting so far so please help me with my problem.
