So at one of this E3 interviews ive heard that the campaign is now generated with the same enginge that is used for battles. Since we had that map editor for shogun II it doesnt sound too far fetched that you could use it to create your own campaign map for mods.
Assuming that CA will provide map editing tools for rome II it doesnt look like a huge leap to use it for campaign maps.
Its still unlikely but i was just wondering, why would you use the same engine? it has been a huge downside of total war games since empire that you cant mod campaign maps. With the mod summits i hope that modders emphasized that and CA was listening.
Still speculation, but it does make sense in my head. Ofc they could still use the same engine and not do anything for modding with it^^
