The most glorious of all, the Dutch, faced many conflicts and opportunities. With the new addition of so called twodeckers and heavy frigates to the world scene, the Dutch quickly modernised. Within a few years the Dutch fielded a state of the art combat and trade fleet. The trade fleet of over 300 vessels set sail, conquering the trade nodes of the world. The Dutch are in a firm position in the top 3 economy club, and seeks better still. The Dutch also fought in the Great Phony War together with France, versus the smelly Russians and the Italians. The Dutch, do not have plenty in men but plenty in gold. This resulted in the Home Army of 50 thousand men fighting alongside a mercenary army of the same size. Some say Dutch intervention was what hindered the Italians to advance into France proper and that the Dutch were originally meant for rebel hunting duty, but we dismiss those rumours.

Those treasury values are nothing compared to what I tend to sit on at this point in the game.

That said, those are single player values; I did often sit on similar size deposits in our EU3 games if they ever reached 1700. Incidentally, well done on keeping the game going this long. I think our longest EU3 game lasted about 1680, so bearing in mind the later start date this is probably the longest game yet!

Hard session for the ottomans. Our 160000 men were faced with about 600000 enemy ones.If not for the hellish armies of italy we could have stood our ground in europe against the ill trained russians whose only strength is their numbers. Thanks to the french intervention we were able to focus on the yemeni scum.We had to withdraw from the first battle because our armies were still exhaused from the battle with the italians and russians. After that the yemeni armies were beaten and we reclaimed the occupied land.Unfortunately the ottoman power had gone to zero at the time so because of that and the intimidating unnatural breeding speed of the russian ants we forced to sign a peace giving away Bratslav.
It was time to drive out the portuguese cowards who grapsed this chance to take muslim lands.Poor tactics from the portuguese generals lead to their doom.Their armies suffered massive casualties and started running back to the west african coast.A peace was made and 1000 coins were taken as war reparations.
Because of these continuous acts of aggresion in europe from the italian russian alliance the ottomans will support the european powers who are against italy and russia in the following years and we urge the chinese empire to attack the russians. They have no way to defend from an attack to the east and their armies despite their numbers are very weak

This session, the Italian Archduke was so utterly bored he decided to wage war against the Ottomans. When asked by local press, russian and ottoman envoys what the wargoal was, Italian High Command answered:"No idea really." Who knows what the Archduke had intended? Whatever it was, it was put to a hold by the French who claimed the title 'world police'. The main body of the army, already having pushed the Ottomans over the sea of Marmara, was quickly repositioned to the alps, leaving 50,000 soldiers to guard the straights with their Russian comrades.

However, without the full army, the local commanders decided it was impossible to push the French from the alps. The Ottomans made a risky move soon after; they used all their strength to breach the blockade at Marmara and rushed for Vienna, italian and russian regiments right behind them. In panic, the Archduke ordered all troops to return to the capitol and defend it all costs. After heavy fighting around the capitol, the Ottoman army was routed and peace was signed, giving the province of Bratslav to the Russians.

Italian troops, now reinforced by russian masses, quickly retook their positions in the alps. After poor commanding from both sides and several slaughters the Italians managed to retake all home territory, but was unable to push into France. Uprisings throughout the French territories were already spreading like wildfire, however. Smelling victory, the Italian armies moved in on Nice and Savoy and they were captured after uneventful sieges. News then reached the Italian lines that the french king had been butchered in his own Palace by revolutionairies. Fearing this might give the troops like-minded ideas, the italian generals urged the king to accept a french concession of defeat, but he refused. Soon after, however, the Archduke died and his daughter succeeded him. She was more inclined towards stopping the war and news about an impeding Scandinavian invasion led to a quick peace treaty.

    Glory to Italy.

As for Germany, Apple, you sided with the enemy. I can't give territory to enemies.

    So, if this game continues...
    - France is eating Iberia and can become revolutionary
    - the Scandinavians have secured quite a bit of land to make them a competitive land power
    - Russia is finally about to westernize and has a huge army (even if a bit weak)
    - Ming is growing to be amazingly large and without a counterbalance (and has no immediate threat, potentially making it one of the strongest powers)
    - the Netherlands dominates trade and has a fairly weak land army, but its navy and wealth are worth mention
    - Portugal lacks an immediate threat and seemingly has enough wealth to swarm anyone with mercs
    - Yemen is very weak, only able to operate on the edge of the main scene
    - the Ottomans are not in the most enviable strategic position, but it is capable of hurting any single opponent on its borders
    - Great Britain has a powerful economy and navy, but a very weak land capability

Nine powers are left. Who will win?
