medieval 2 total war cannot locate dvd rom
hello,
about 1 and a half months ago, I bought Medieval 2 total war second hand on a market, as it was only 3 euros.
I installed it and there was my first problem: it couldn't find a specific file, but after a few tries it went fine and I could start the game. but it was already late and didn't really get a chance to play it. but it seemed to work just fine
then the next day when I tried to play it, I got an error message saying: couldn't locate the dvd rom, please restart the application or something like that, I found a few threads with the same problem, but none of those proposed solutions have worked for me, if someone has an idea please let me know

Re: medieval 2 total war cannot locate dvd rom
I'm not that good with this technical stuff, so it could very well be possible that I'm doing something wrong, but after watching some videos and reading some guides on how to do this, when I try it, I get a message that access to taking control is denied

I am logged in as Administrator so that can't be the problem, I guess I'm doing something wrong, I'll try some more, see if I am able to do it now
