Default Who's still buying Total War: Rome II?

Who's still buying Rome II? State why or why not and your reasoning behind it. Please don't go on about DLC. This isn't the place for that.

For the record I am getting Rome II. But I also disagree with many of CA's choices.

I'm not crazy about the capture points and the exclusion of Corinth, but that's no reason for me not to buy the game.

You realize the capture points is only in special battles. Just like the fort battles of previous total war games.
I dont get why so much stress out of a new type of battle CA brought up. wich actualy was only just an expanded version of The hold Fort battles.

    Pre-ordered.

    Still Pre-ordered.

Why would I cancel? The opinions of some random dude on a forum? - No. I enjoy the series and will most likely enjoy this also.

I preordered the Collector's Edition a while ago. Can't wait, my most anticipated game right now by far. I look forward to making Romans fly when I hit them with my chariots and elephants!

    Because I think it'll be awesome I am still glad I pre-ordered.

Also, if you are going to be asking for reasons why people are or are not buying it, you shouldn't exclude DLC from the discussion, even though I think it's hardly a problem.

I'll buy it-when I can get it for thirty dollars or less.
Aelfwine, then, spoke out and valiantly declared: 'Let us call to mind those declarations we often uttered over mead, when from our seat we heroes in hall would put up pledges about tough fighting; now it can be proved who is brave. I am willing to make my lineage known to all, that I was from a substantial family in Mercia. My grandfather was called Ealhelm, a wise nobleman blessed with worldly wealth. The thanes among that people shall not reproach me for my wanting to get out of this army, to make my way home, now that my lord leader is lying hacked down in battle. To me that is the greatest grief: he was both my kinsman and my lord." Then he moved forward and turned his attention to revenge, so that with his spear he struck a seaman among the army so that he lay dead among the ground, destroyed by his weapon. Then he exhorted his comrades, his friends and companions, that they should advance.

Check the best deals thread. There are some places with great reputations where you can get the game on the cheap.

    As for the thread,

if I didn't find the deal I did, I would not have pre-ordered. Some of CA's decisions really do not sit well with me. Honestly, I'm finding each subsequent TW game after Empire to be less and less attractive buys.

Saying all that, it looks like it could be fun, and I am keeping an open mind. Capture points could be neat additions if done properly, the army limit idea is something I've actually come to like, and the province system (less sieges) looks like an interesting change. Of course, the graphics look great, and the campaign map is pretty. It should be a fun little game.

Also, this is the only TW, apart from Shogun II, that gives the player context for all-out conquest. Rome, historically speaking, did conquer much of the Mediterranean world, so it makes sense for me/the AI to go on a crazy conquering spree.

Also, its Rome's sequel, a game is definitely in my all-time top 10, and its TW, and despite the fact that each successive game seems to look worse and worse to me, nothing comes close to TW's production quality and gameplay.

I did and there's nothing about getting a deal in Canada.

Of course. The perfect game in our heads doesn't exist, you buy the best thing that actually exists. Rome II looks like it will be a great game.
