Hahaha Have no doubts that **** will kick off when you set foot in Iberia. I have a dodgy feeling about that place...
There definitely was a whole bunch of dudes donwb there. Isn't it them lot in Iberia who have the 'Falcutta' I think it is? :O
That's the thing though, you just know you'll be running into ambushes, especially since spies can't see the hiding enemy army all of the time.
I'd think about sending two armies, the disposable one first (no Roman army is truly disposable

) and then the high quality one right behind so it don't get ambushed.
One tactic I WILL be doing is this; send over a ship and general to the Greek peninsula, quickly get on there, recruit a few hoplite mercenaries and leg it back to Italy. No we got some good quality hoplites. Barbarians would be like food for a Hoplite shield wall
The best I can see myself doing though, is launching raiding parties against the Germanic people. Loot, destroy and massacre. Sure, I'd capture the territory etc. but I'd leave it since it would be too risky maintaining. Just keep launching raiding parties until the area is worn-down. Make a few alliances with a key tribe/s, definitely not the Suebi lol
I just cannot see myself expanding 'officially' into Germania. How did the Romans do it? :O
But you know, Raikou, I've got to hand it to CA...they have made the barbarians something to be feared
