crashing on opening load screen?

i had the game working fine then i installed MOS after i was having trouble with that i uninstalled it and re-install the original third age but now it keeps closing on the loading screen after about 3 seconds.

i have
-re-installed medieval 2 and kingdoms
-turned of day lights saving
-deleted geography files and map file
- click run as administrator which it then has a message '' kingdom.exe'' not found
any idea? it appears to have been downloaded into the right spot, i have windows 7

I'm using medieval 2 gold edition.
