Default Should factions in rome 2 be able to horde

In barbarian invasion factions were able to horde, but in the original rtw all factions died out if they lost all their cities. Wouldn't it be historically accurate to allow barbarians and parthian tribes(and some others) to horde when they want to?
Maybe allow horde player to receive more units the more cities they horde from(allow you to horde straight from more than one city) to stop factions which are almost destroyed to just get a 'second life'.

What do you mean by Horde? Do you mean sack?

Looting and Sacking are in Total War : Rome II. It was confirmed and they explained that looting and sacking are completely different mechanics.

Horde is like moving your entire population from one place to another. There were certain peoples' in the world who had no one-place where they lived, such as the Cimbri. They moved from area to area, destroying and settling in different places before moving on again.

they did this out of necessity though. it is believed that their home of Jutland was hit by floods.

I really like the idea of hordes. But it should have to be chosen while the faction is still alive. I hated how faction just became hordes when you took their last region in BI.

You know, it's possible for hordes to exist this time around because of the new "Plunder" features, which allows armies to live off the land. This could be a way to feed the people and also, they would be at war constantly since they would be plundering the land of others. This could be amazing, but very tricky too if you had to horde

I doubt they will allow hording like they did for RTW:BI. There are plenty of good historical reasons.. and not just for 'nomadic' factions. The Gallic Wars of Julius Caesar was started primarily because of a wandering group of Helvetii who had mass migrated from eastern Gaul (due to Germanic assaults) to Cisalpine Gaul attacking one of Rome's celtic allies. If done well and in a controlled manner, hording could be interesting allowing for certain nations to have a last stand or migration. I doubt they will and they definitely have not mentioned it at all.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Horde option in BI suck in so many level.
You cornered 1 faction to their last settlement? Boom! Surprise mother****er ! Thousands of soldiers appear before your own eyes and beat the crap out of your armies, sack and destroy your settlement, kill your people, etc etc... I think that feature is too annoying, it give you an option to just make a horde, kill everything on your way and march straight to Rome.

Having the ability to horde would be a fantastic addition. As mentioned above however it could cause some problems if introduced in it's previous incarnation, so it ought to be a decision that must be made while you still have at least one city, rather than happening by default if you lose your last one.

How about the more cities you horde from, the bigger your horde?

Though this would irrevelate the cause of the "horde", that they had to move, because they were driven from their land.
It only should be a very small band if you horde.
