I love that i do not need to think about a strategic point to flank the enemy, Rome 2 thinks for me and displays big capture points.

Probably the same thing I have been doing since Empire. Coerce a revolution/liberate a region and establish good relations, then over time supply the nation with money and technology, so that the nation eventually forms a fully functional empire of its own. Or give the nations a few regions to boost its efforts.
I personally love aiding in the unification of Italy. Watching Courland devour Poland-Lithuania was surprising.
CA fails at marketing.
They should just give us a 10 minute video following some elephants.
Job done.
Scoodlypooper Numero Uno
mods.
also, army legacies sound fantastic; best idea since a 3d campaign map. It should also play out well with mods.
Looking forward to:
- Land/Sea sieges and battles (this is my TOP)
- Less walled cities and more emphasis on losing what I cannot hold indefinitely (my second)
- More uniquely designed sieges
- Army stances
- Specialized Armies
- Diplomacy
- Whatever they have planned for competitive multiplayer (like avatar conquest)
- Playing as Carthage, my favorite faction >;D
Not looking forward to:
- A single capture point in historical/normal battles
- Not playing as the Seleucid Empire (instant DLC buy for me)
- Capture points in every battle that give victory if held (if that is the case)
The little things - leading a cohort to battle and ordering the legionaries to hurl their pila before closing in with the gladius; leading a wild barbarian charge downhill, or watching ranks of phalanxes battling it out on dust choked Hellenistic battlefields.
The capture points work like Shogun's buildings; it gives small buffs. Do you see ANYBODY hog the Shogun buildings? No? Then you are wrong.
Also, I look forward to the game actually being released, so PROMETHEUS and those other people can see how fun it is.
If they worked like that it would be great (was it confirmed?). From what I could tell they said the capture point in the historical battle of the Nile was a victory condition (and I heard, though I did not check, that it was confirmed to be in other normal battles, though I do not know it is fact or not). They were not victory conditions in Shogun, they had those small buffs, like morale etc.

I'm looking forward to what units will be features in the game. Even though it includes ships and exotic troop types for each playable faction "close to 700 units" will be very interesting to see what they give the non-playable factions unit wise

Does it boost your morale or something if you capture a capture point? If yes its ok.
In sieges, its ok but for victory conditions in land battles, it doesnst suit...
I hate things like those...

Well holding something on a battlefield, like an important building, could alter ones morale in a battle realistically. You know, they capture a building and it increases their hope/morale of winning the battle, makes sense, right?
Were client states confirmed in this game? Would they be in the game alongside vassals? Are vassals in the game? lol I would love if client states AND vassals were in the game... errr I just mean I hope there is more than 1 type of client state (protectorate, puppet state, etc).

Playing an improved version of one of my favorite games set in an even more epic period.
Looking forward just to get over the disappointment of the game and wait for mods to bring it back on track.
Good going CA, you really must be proud of your hard work.....
