    TBH, I think that has its place more in a first / third person hack & slash, like Mount & Blade than a TW game.

    If it is an oblique reference to the battle impact animations, that is a different matter.

    I'm kinda curious how would you implement this for thousands of soldiers fighting on the field?

    Does world of tanks even have that many to begin with?

    And last I checked World of tanks was an FPS.

    You can optimize the fight. Near the camera, make a realistic battle granularity, and away from the camera theoretical battle.

    The left side of the character sometimes has a shield which works as armor and defense. The right side has the weapon which can also be used for defense. So charge into the right side.

    OP it's not that simple, modern CPUs already struggle while playing huge battles with big melee fights, if we did it your way there would be no stopping the lag, maybe one day every soldier will have his AI, but that day is not today nor September the 3rd.

    You can help by reporting posts and threads that are OP or just wrong, you can't expect a few moderators to go through hundreds of pages of crap, they would have to be on the forum 24/7 or be a lot more to keep it really clean. After a report they usually respond quite quickly, but they are not the forum police, we should be the first to make the forum better by being better and writing better posts, not by waiting for mommy moderator to clean after us.

    That said I went off topic and should be reported

    Anyway I get why people would not respond well to this thread, what the OP asks for is clearly not possible with the current technology, but he is probably just ignorant and does not know the limits of what we can do at the moment with a pc.

    Applying those physics to each and every individual soldier within a unit and to every unit would tax the system to the breaking point. It's not possible with current technology.

    Not sure if the OP is serious or just trolling. World of Tanks is a tank combat game with up to 30 tanks facing against each other on a battlefield, yet you suggested using its damage system for a series of strategy games like Total War where thousands upon thousands of soldiers running and fighting in the field? How would you implement that system for such many soldiers? No thanks. That's just...ridiculous.
