Greek Campaign

Woa, i love the greek skins and the extra elite troops, it makes it so much more fun to play.
At the moment i am making slow progress. I made all recruitment times 0 to add some spice and because i find that without a 4tpy in takes years to build a good army. I trained some troops and put the Royal guard that you start off with in it and left to take thermon, then ambracia, then sicilia greacus. Thermon came under attack from a tiny Macedonian army, but i had only a unit of phalangites and one of peasants, and the enemy faction leader overan them.
I dispatched the royal guard army to try to take it back, but by the time i got there the macedonians had somehow raised two full stacks against me. I laid siege to the city, but luckily i had brought ballistas and attacked straight away. However, both stacks joined the battle. i knocked down the walls and after some dangerous fighting trying to get my phalanxes through the walls intact, we managed to take the city. Thankfully the AI did not attempt to retake the city, and instead fled the battle.
I immediately took my army back against theirs, to find their faction leader had taken charge of the army. Sadly, after pelting the army with flaming barbs and having one generals bodyguard reduced to one man; the general himself, plus routing the whole of their army, the faction leader escaped to live another day. However, the battle had destroyed Macedonian dominance on the Greek peninsulas, and i felt that i would be able to steamroll the remaining cities quite effectively.
I was wrong. The next turn LArissa had a full stack inside it, and Antigonos the Mcdn FL had a full bodyguard again.
I figure the future should be fun

I played as greek too. I maintained good relationships with macedon and concentrated on GC (rebels), pontus, seleucia. One of the reasons are if i conquer macedon too early, i would have to build all those infrastructures myself. Macedon now only goes to war with GC(rebels) and are trapped in their position between 2 allies. They will die the same later on.
