Very nice work. But again: faction colours have changed. Egypt=blue, Pontus=yellow.
    Cities would be nice, too.

And the sea regions north of egypt is wrong. This should be two naval regions. The sea regions south of Arabia is also split in two.

Thanks for corrections. I will update it when I finish putting cities on map.

    as u see 53 regions , not 183 ...

The cities of the resting subregions are now just collateral resource places , just like the farms and mines were in previous game ...

No, there are also "not-siegeble" cities in many sub-regions

Provinces is the word you're looking for, it's actually very easy to differentiate between regions and provinces (Provinces consists of a collection of regions).

How does the province system work? Do you capture the entire province by just taking the main city or do you have to take them all?

There are 183 regions, jesus Prometheus.

Edvinsen: You have to take every region to control the province, at which point you can use edicts on it.

    No guys ,

You have been sold that Fantasy story about 183 regions...

You only have 53 real regions , infact by the interviews you won't even be able to build several buildings, in a city but you will have to specialize , in that way some cities will work as mines , other as farms , so they are just selling you what befoure were the resource small settlements in the maps .

with the only difference that now they got a region and some buildings . but in effect cannot be sieged , cannot be defended .

Only one city counts now the capital of the province and this has just killed any historical plausibility that game might have had ...

    Its just arcade .

If we only have 53 real provinces(not regions) how come we can capture 183 regions. If its what you claim we should just have 53 territories that we can move in to but we have 183. Now there is a strategical factor to those regions. They all have their income , bonuses etc. They have a very strategic importance to the province and the political capital of that province.

They are not buildings. They are cities. As seen on the map Alexandria is our political capital in Egypt it holds 3 cities as regions. So all these cities fall under the administrative command of Alexandria. So lets say you want to attack Alexandria but you want to surround them and cut them out of resources and food. You encircle Egypt and take key cities around Alexandria. It creates some strategical aspect to the game. You literally choke them.

I am also pretty positive that we can build things in these regions aswell so they are not empty farmlands as you are saying. At the end of the day its a game not a historical simulator. If you wish to have a historical simulation experience you need to wait for hardcore history mods or historical simulation games.

Total War is where history meets and enjoyable gameplay experience. I am sorry that it doesn't appeal to you as i am pretty sure that CA wants it to appeal to everyone. Remember what Al said on the E3 coverage?

At the end of the day its a piece of entertainment and yes it is. The point is striking the right balance between fun and authenticity as he mentioned. Until now they did it pretty well lets see if they will keep up with that track record.

I am assuming that you are saying that regions are only ones with siege maps are counting as regions in your opinion? That's well and fine, but because you don't want to accept fact, don't insult other member's intelligence by saying they've been 'sold a fantasy story'

The number of regions aside, the gameplay looks great and the strategy map will have enough cities.
