    Default Vassals

Well this is something unusual for me. Playing as Dale I somehow managed to turn Rhun into a Vassal when it only had 2 territories left. Here's what I've found so far:

    Pros:
*20,000 gold per turn (You say the VH AI cheats? Nonsense. . .)

    Cons:
*Never ever open diplomacy with your vassals, odds are that they will use the opportunity to instantly break your.
*Keep in mind that they can still declare war on your current allies with impunity, forcing you to choose between them. I guess you might be able to avoid this if you use MOS total diplomacy to force your allies to ally. Or maybe you could somehow convince them to attack one of your enemies and satisfy their need to constantly be at war.
*If your alliance is ever broken then the finance scroll will bug out and continue to show you earning a ton of gold in tributes each turn even though you won't actually see any of that money.

Aside from that last issue which is really, really annoying and please, please could someone figure out how to fix it, for that much money it's probably more than worth it to keep a full stack and a diplomat in their territory in order to declare war and re-establish the vassalage each time they get uppity.

Hrmm, now I wonder what happens if you turn that apparent swimming pool of money in MOS called Dunland into a vassal. . .

This I can answer, having done it myself:

Vassals in this game are never worth it. By the time they accept, you might as well wipe them off the map and save yourself the trouble.

Vassals in most TW games are never worth it, especially the older ones. They are more trouble than it is worth, primarily because the way the vassal system was implemented left a lot to be desired. You are much better off destroying the faction. Also, I don't think it is possible to improve the vassals. It seems to be hardcoded or very difficult, otherwise, someone would have figured out how to do so by now.
