As we all know, new Rome will be extremely casualized and arcadey game. So there is a question, is port on new gen consoles possible? I would love to wreck elephant mayhem or unleash nuclear holocaust by onager with a pad in my hand.
If you guys didnt get it he is trolling on casualness since he is bent out of shape over physics.
But of course, we all know how amazing RTS games are on console. A computer-mouse is so last year!
I hope not . PC is the future ,it was 20 years ago and still is the future.
"...extremely casualized"? I completely fail to see that bit. On the part about consoles...no. Personally, console players want quicker games and campaigns. PC gamers want longer campaigns and games. If console players want a PC game, they come to PC (like I did). I don't want a game that will have to downgraded just to fit on consoles when console gamers won't even stick to this game for that long anyway. If you want something, you meet the criteria, not have something change the criteria for you...
Really Miszel? Have you just stopped trying now?
Let's just say close combat took a lot longer than it should've for a while using the mouse. When **** kicked off, I legged it and tried engaging from a far! It's much more better but scary at the same time when you play something like Arma with no experience of the mouse in an FPS haha
I have a gampad, but I only use it for games like Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, The Witcher 2 or car games, I would never dream to use it in an fps, I already have problems with it while using a bow in Skyrim and aiming at a moving target. And it would certainly make no sense for a strategy game.
Can you at least try a demo or even, gods forbid, the real game before judging, as any reasonable person would do? And to answer the question, no, it won't come out for consoles, it would be impossible to control.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I think console is best for fighting and arcade games like blazblue, guitygear, DOA or sport games like PES... But with games need precise reaction like RTS and FPS, I prefer mouse over console.
In Halo, I can't aim straight, and even when the alien is right in front of me, I keep shooting the ground and wall for no reason![]()
This is a pretty greasy thread, PC all the way! The Xbox One is going to be a piece but the PS4 looks decent.
Definitely not, until Touchscreens and touchpad controls become actually mainstream and usable i highly doubt the Consoles will get Total War games.
Perhaps in the future once the Steambox and PS6 are out, we might see a Total War game on consoles.
playing strategy games on consoles with a controller is too awkward
In my experiences, whenever there's a strategy games port to a consoles, the controls are completely dumbed-down to the point where the game almost isn't fun anymore.
