    Default GameStar.de doubts RTW2 BAI

Well more and more i feel like i will experience the same disaster over and over again with CA.
Gamestar.de (German mag) just played the battle on the Nil as Romans and is writing that they ultimatly won the battle because of the lack of AI response to there tactics. Eg:
They landed troops and the egypts only send one regiment to deal with them. Sure thing that regiment has been cut to pieces.
When they captured the winning point the AI was long time NOT trying to counterattack and get it back but instead refused to do ANYTHING.

Great. Again Eyecandy, tinky winky effects, new features - and a AI which is not able to handle them?

Your thread is gonna be filled with CA Fanboys's defending posts.. good luck OP
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.

A video of false chemical attack in Douma, Syria, which led to Western illegal attacks.

Just as much as those who aren't always on board with CA's choices are pedantic neckbeard armchair historians according to most forum members. Works both ways :/

But if really after losing the checkpoint the AI didn't do a thing, well it is a fact, isn't it?

LOL so now even the Mag which praised the Empire Ai and has no clue about AI is noticing the bad AI? This doesent help destroying my concerns. BTW you dont need to be a genius to understand the AI is braindead if it doesent attack the Victory point but instead is doing nada! The text is logic in itself, no questions for me. As long as they dont lie about there experience the AI behaviour in that battle was utterly braindead (codedead)

What I also get from the article: If you hold the control point long enough, you win the battle.

Unless anybody played the game they can't defend it. Its one of those things. There are several AI factors. I wish GameStar could show us some footage or screenshots of the occurance. I can only assume what happened. I read the article completely.

Worst Case : Defending Egyptian AI's main army stood on the hill without even being attacked by the main roman army. Even though they weren't attacked they sent only 1 unit for the flanking flag capturing roman units.

Average Case : The Defending Egyptian AI armys main force was fighting the romans on the hill so the AI couldn't calculate the threat level of the flanking troops as it had units infront of it and didn't send a major force but just 1 unit. Ending up with its defeat.

The text clearly states that the main army didnt enganged the egyptian while that happened.

    ahhhhahaha

Well aimed sarcasm there! When the people tried to raise their voices for something in past they always had to deal with "its pre alpha!" defence line of fanboys. And now majority of them changed their weapon to "its not a historical simulator"

Lets just be fair. CA, aimed more on visuals instead of a decent gameplay (battles). We see a lot of fantasy effects which are not even used in fantasy movies! Have you ever seen flying Orcs in Rohan charge? Levitated orcish battalions upon Minas Tirith catapults?

    No!

Even in fantasy movies there are something makes sense but thee battle of nile proves otherwise. And now objective game critics say the AI lacks on this and that.

Welcome to the endless realism mods and projects from day one
