Maybe if i ask some questions like Prom I can get some info out of Jack

You like not having standard bearers in the units of other factions that are not Roman? I thought all faction were going to be treated equally.

You like not having musicians like horn blowers represented in the ranks?

You like Champion's not showing up on the battlefield when they are embedded in armies?

You like not having any info about the new diplomacy options?

You like not having any info about Multi-player?

    that should do the trick

So Julius Caesar now was Black?

And can't you see the difference in skin tones on the two units?

Thats a black man not a white man . Caesar was a Roman and a Roman is White not black .

How the heck did he end up an admin? He should be working for Gamespot doing interviews!

Seriously Prom you are trolling, half of you criticisms don't even make sense, and I'm just disappointed that Jack has to waste his time rebuffing your negativity instead of answering some of the genuine questions others have.

Personally I think the game is looking fantastic.

Why does he have to have anything against blacks to say JC looks black?

    [EDIT]

Thread re-opened as the original topic was good and Jack's reply was valid. Note that ANY off-topic posting or personal attacks will lead to this being closed again and it will lead to defying moderation infractions as a minimum for any poster who does that.

The topic is why Rome 2 looks awesome. If you disagree, there are plenty of threads that have alternative views.

The post from Jack was a great read. The initial posts from Prometheus weren't. Thanks Jack Lusted for dropping in and giving a few replies here and there

I think Rome II is going to be great. The campaign map is just gorgeous. I love the new view, how you can see the horizon and mountains in the distance. It is more personable than the god's eye view of MII. I didn't buy shogun, and barely touched my empire, so this new game is gonna be such a huge jump from MII, which is what I've been playing.

How can you play Medieval 2? I can't play it because the battles are way too long. Noob fanboy 12 year old (I'm actually 18) mode incoming: I zoom in and see them all just sitting there in their fighting stance, bashing each other every now and then. It takes about five hits to kill even one person. I don't think that's incredibly realistic.

    In this article here
    http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/16/to...-from-the-cre/

It says you can have a Gladitor in city to bring happiness. However, if he is in too long there might be a slave revolt. You can have your own spartacus rebellion!
    Got nothing...

Gladitor will be agents or armies, I really want to control them on battlefiled, like Spactacus, they are master of fighting

Yeah, I was turning quite negative myself...over some smaller details, but after few days I realized this game is still going to be a major improvement and I will put in so many hours beyond belief.

I really like the idea of provinces, though this also lead to my only real disappointment, of missing out on the sieges of major cities like Jerusalem, Syracus en Corinth...

But so many things are appealing, and a great step forweward, like an insane amount of different tribes, units, various different siege models, even some unique (rebuild) cities, the map looks awesome, etc, etc.

IMHO people on this forum are on average remarkably conservative. The average user, it seems, wants to have the exact same game as the previous one, just bigger, more detailed and with a better AI. Anything that tries to fundamentally add to or alter the gameplay is either ignored, or shot down. I suppose the hope for the community lies with new people coming in with an open mind.
"Lay these words to heart, Lucilius, that you may scorn the pleasure which comes from the applause of the majority. Many men praise you; but have you any reason for being pleased with yourself, if you are a person whom the many can understand?" - Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

It's not just the people here. Every gamer regardless of console and every company regardless of genre will always try to keep their games the same as the previous release, but just a bit better.

Few companies risk a big change. Or maybe i should say, the market is not doing as good as it did 10 years ago to risk a big change. Although i do blame that on the companies wasting a lot of money in making just a slightly improved version of their previous title.
