Default Ancient Jerusalem - replica (Updated 24th July - The Great Temple added)

In the time of Rome 2 ancient Jerusalem was a big city in Hellenistic style. The city should have strong walls, and should be the possibility of its siege. The Romans laid siege to Jerusalem for a long time.

That's a Magnificent reconstruction. I've been reading Josephus's account of Pompey's siege of Jerusalem recently, so I hope the city makes an appearance in the game.

Why bother if Ca decided that Lufpurgium city is more important to siege?
Forget about The important cities of antiquity like Jerusalem , Rhodes, Syracuse, Massalia, etc ...

You got Budorgis , Lupfurdum , Tulifurdum , Camulodunon to siege ...

To be fair though, if we concentrated on the great or big cities of the ancient World, the Near East, Greece, and Italy would be choked with cities, while the rest of Europe would be empty. You can lay siege to Camulodunon (a small village when the Romans arrived in AD 43) in order to bring some balance to the game, as otherwise the map beyond the Mediterranean would be empty and therefore dull.

Who wants this? Screw balance, let's give the Iceni their own space station. That will spice things up.

I can't believe you won't be able to siege Jerusalem in the game. Has this been confirmed or is it just speculation?

Also, were the romans the people who controlled Jerusalem for the most time? It's look like it from the graphic.

Really disapointing that ALso the Fortresses will not apear in the game , so forget about the fort, castrum, castellum , fortigfications of all types, etc ... No siege of Masada ....

Really this game had so much potential and the more I read about it the more I am totally disapointed by the Wasted opportunity that CA had for an epic game , totally dumbed down to Kid entry level Arcade game .
Pehaps we have to thank Sega for that .

I support your argument at 100% and I know they will not make major changes to the campaign map and it will not be what it could have been! I'm sure that carthage is their best siege/historical map and that's why they showed it to us. I'm not expecting super historical cities like the Jerusalem replica on this thread although that's what I expected this time around. Even if CA says that they had to remove cities for game balance, that's bull****. They can make tons of smaller cities that only produce little resources, but atleast there present in the provinces or something. This game will be arcade and nothing like I had imagined. Even at this point we haven't seen anything new!!!!! its always the same since teutoburg forest trailer.

Here are my expectations that could have easily been implemented to make the game a total A+
    - More historical cities all over the map (not all siege-able but at-least there on campaign map) - conquerable when you step on them.
    - tons of little villages in provinces on campaign map
    - slightly better unit cards with better building cards
    - non animated portraits ( HD paintings or something where you can see the general's chest armor too!)
    - ROMAN FORMATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Units trying to keep formation when engaged too!!! Watch this
    - Ragdoll physics when elephants/catapults/chariots hit troops his better than horizontal flying soldiers
    - more variation in officers uniforms, I want to see different centurions depending on the legion...
    - no projectile trail "check box"
    - african elephants

A game supposed to be the best in the series with maximum budget !? don't think so.

Did you just call Jerusalem 'J-Town'?

    Peace out, J-Town down.
