    Default Getting a new card

Now I know that this is just another, getting a new GFX card need advice, but I just want to get my moneys worth with my card...

I am buying a card 150$ - $200 and want some advice on what to get.

I know that Lee will say the 7600 GT, but what are some ATI alternatives, because I like ATI more...

    $500: GF7950 GX2 (X1950 XTX performs less well)
    $350: X1900 XTX 512 MB (GF7900 GTX costs $400)
$280: X1900 XT 256 MB (GF7900 GT performs less well)
    $200: X1900 GT (GF7900 GT costs $250)
    $140: GF7600GT (X1600XT/Pro perform less well)
$80: X1600Pro (if you really want to spend only $80)
    below $80: Don't bother.

Out of this list I would choose the X1900GT. Unless, ofcourse, you pick up a second hand card, you might pick up an X1900XT, or even an X1900XTX when the X1950XTX comes out, from some guy who's swapping upgrading.

Good. Then off you go and buy your new GPU, nd play games the way they were meant to be played.

Good luck with that then, its a good card. And make SURE you turn all the settings up to highest! I find a lot of people always forget to do that, such a waste of graphics power.
