Looks like some Egyptian thureophoroi or some sort of swordsmen that the Romans are surrounding. In the phalanx vs legion pic, they seem to have the Romans using the right tactic for getting through the wall of pikes. That pic looks very realistic; I like that the entire formation hasn't switched to swords just because a few enemy got in close.

What's up with the tents? Is this a fort or are the Romans attacking a minor region?
