Default Heads up: Rome 1 is only $1 on Steam! Here's your chance to get pumped for Rome II!

As this isn't been posted anywhere yet here....

So those here that have played Total War but missed out on Rome 1 this is now your chance to grab it for very cheap. It comes with BI too. Though modding Rome 1 on Steam version isn't really an easy feat but it's possible.

Also look at it this way, it will get you pumped for Rome 2 as you wait and you can compare how different/improved Rome 2 is over Rome 1 through first hand experience when Rome 2 comes out!

As for those not sold on Rome 2 yet but haven't played Rome 1, well here's your chance too!

Default RTW 1 Gold on Sale for $1

Just logged into steam and saw Rome Total War 1 Gold Edition (RTW and BI) is on sale for $1 if you do not have it. The sale ends in 12 1/2 hours, 10am PST US. Just thought I would let the community know.

Edit: You could always buy a few as gifts for $1 and hang on to them for friends. I am going to.

When Hiero returned to besiege their base (Messana) in 265 BC the Mamertines called for help from a nearby fleet from Carthage, which occupied the harbor of Messana. Seeing this, the Syracuse forces retired, not wishing to confront Carthaginian forces. Uncomfortable under the Cathaginian "protection," the Mamertines now appealed to Rome to be allowed into the protection of the Roman people. At first, the Romans did not wish to come to the aid of soldiers who had unjustly stolen a city from its rightful possessors. However, unwilling to see Carthaginian power spread further over Sicily and get too close to Italy, Rome responded by entering into an alliance with the Mamertines. In response, Syracuse allied itself with Carthage, imploring their protection. With Rome and Carthage brought into conflict, the Syracuse/Mamertine conflict escalated into the First Punic War.

Just to comment on this part. Modding RTW either retail or Steam version is the same. If it's easy on retail then it's easy on Steam. No difference at all.

Default Original Rome: Total War is only one dollar on Steam for the next 10 hours.

Like the title says Rome: Total War including Barbarian Invasion expansion is only a dollar for the next 10 hours on Steam. Just figured those who haven't ever played the original would appreciate being able to do so almost completely free. Hell I'd still pay the full price of a new game for this masterpiece.

Oh and by the way, Check out a game called Ryse: Son of Rome. Holy hell it looks awesome, definitely can't wait for that one. Basically Rome total war from a single soldiers perspective.

    Dat.... DEAL

Also, the bad thing about Ryse is that it's only for the Xbox One *cough* terrible console *cough*
