    The Making of Kings

    Fire and Blood v0.8 Hotseat

    Preface:

    I think Fire and Blood is a great Mod and it doesn't get the recognition it should. Because of this i decided to open a new Fire and Blood Hotseat.
    I decided that some factions should be joined with others so that everyone can somehow command a more or less balanced faction or factions. By grouping the factions i considered the starting Overall strength of the factions and tried to balance it so that it still makes sense. Stannis with Bolton might not make sense but all 3 are quite weak from the starting strength.


    Lore:

    Robert Baratheon rules the Seven Kingdoms. but he is only a mediocre King
    and therefore the Kingdom is crumbling in his grip. Greater and lesser Houses plot for their own gain and there are reports that armies from the north and east are threatening the Kingdom.
    In this Hotseat You take control over those threats, greater and lesser Houses. Lead your House to gain as much power as possible. Diplomacy, strategy, deceit all are part of the Game of Thrones.


    Winning Conditions:

    1. Become the King of Westeros by conquering all of it or having other Lords pleadging fealty to you. Every Lord must pleadge fealty to you in order to win this Hotseat. Only one House can win!

    ~~ HOT SEAT RULES ~~


    Basic Rules:


    - EVERYONE BE SURE TO READ THIS:

    It is your responsibility to pay attention to the rules. If a new rule has been made, it will be posted it in the thread first and discussed with the players.


    - You are allowed to reload your saves as often as you want.
    - Turns must be played within 24 hours or you will be auto-subbed by an admin. If you fail to do your turn more than three times, without notifying anyone, you will be removed from the hotseat.

    - Once you have finished your turn and uploaded the save, please PM and leave a Visitor message for the next person.
    - If you suspect one of the players have broken any rules or cheated, please contact
    the Admin and ask him to check it.

    - Anything which is considered to be an exploit is of course not allowed.

    - Any bug or exploit is banned. Especially the movement bug!
    - Remember that once you upload save and screenshots ,they're to be considered final (it means you cannot replay the save changing the battles you fought due to agreements reached after the save has been posted)
    - Uploaded screenshots must actually show the outcome of what really happened during the turn. Screenshots of reloaded saves are not allowed. Differences in screenshots and turn outcome will be punished.
    - Crossing the Wall is not allowed in this hotseat unless you have successfully besieged and taken a castle along the wall.

    Battle Rules:

    - Armies that are defeated in battle by a player that comes after them in the turn list may not move the following turn. This is to make it fair for people who are defeated by players that come before them in the turn list. Attacking defeated armies the following turn is not allowed.
    - All Player vs Player battles must be auto-resolved. Battles against AI can be played. Note: Screenshots are to be posted as evidence of auto-resolve.(The Odds and Results windows must not be edited in any way. Editing out Map info, Cash, and any Units/Agents/Regions not involved in the attack is fine).
    - No surrounding enemy armies with one stack armies, solely to deny any survivors a retreat. Blocks of landbridge ,bridges or similar, to cut the retreat is allowed if not in contact with the enemy army (which means the red zone around the enemy army)
    - No attacking ships inside a port.You cannot leave a blocked port without fighting the enemy ships first.
    - No hiding troops inside ships inside ports.
    - You can build only two forts per region max (it is meant per faction, so if faction A builttwo forts in region 1 ,also faction B can build his fort in the same region).
    - Heroic victories are banned, you need to reload your battles until you do not get a heroic victory.
    - You are not allowed to sally forth if it is clear that you will lose the battle, just to prevent the settlement from sacking etc.


    Settlement Rules:


    - You may not gift a region to another faction if the city is at risk of capture or within a warzone.
    - You cannot level a city to the ground - scorched earth tactics are banned and will be heavily fined. At least Baracks and Smiths must remain intact.

    - No destroying of any buildings if city is at risk of capture or under siege.

    - You are allowed to destroy buildings in peace time if you need the money. I will not state precise restrictions as I have faith that you know what you are supposed to do and what not.

    - You are not allowed to exterminate a city.

    Diplomacy rules

    - First turn peace which means you are not allowed to enter enemy territories, build forts in them
    or attack enemy forces.
    - Any new player taking command of a faction previously held by another player cannot attack a faction he's officially allied with for at least 3 turns, unless the allaince is broken by the other faction.
    - Any new player taking command of a faction previously held by another player cannot attack a faction he's officially allied with for at least 3 turns, unless the allaince is broken by the other faction.
    - Any regions that are gifted, sold, traded with another Faction must have all units except one disbanded immediatly!
    - Faction suicide will be detected and the player is banned immideately.


    Agents Rules:

    - No assassinations
    - The use of Agents against AI factions is legitimate without any restrictions and the need of screenshots.
    - In fact every agent which is conducting an operation against human players must at least have a chance of success of 60% - screenshots are mandatory for every action conducted against human players.

    IF any problems arise regarding rules or player moves the admins and a council of player will make a final ruling.

    Map Updates: We will have map updates every 10 turn to see the progress. Every map update will have a 5 turn delay!

    I'm very much confused, this is a FAB Hotseat yet the factions are Aragorn, Venice, Novogrod, Poland and France?

    thats because the OP was still under construction, when you create a threat you cant select to have advanced options so you must first create it and the edit it ;-)

    You need no agent rules and what not that you have on SS. Just use Constitution rules for Westeros

    I'm confused on the factions, wouldn't a better combination be:

    1) Reach- Hightower Tyrell and Redwyne
    2) Sandlords- Martell and Yronwood
    3) Lannisters and Barathons- Robert and Lannister and his brothers
    4) Northmen- Stark, Bolton and NW
    5) Targ supporters and enemies to Robert- Targ, Darry, Free Folk and Greyjoy
    6) Falcon's n fishes- Tully and Arryn

    well to the agents tehre are princesses thats why we have rules for agents. but i might edit them afterwards.

    factions are combined in regard to starting power- I will most certainly not combine the lannisters with the Baratehon brothers that would be too strong. Martell and Yronwood are combined. in general i wanted to give every player quite balanced factions which is why some are combined and some are not.

    since The Knight Of The Rivers wants to play Bolton i decided to combine Renly with Stannis as i believe renly will get rushed by the Targaryens anyway leaving him weak.
    And so KotR can actually play Bolton and the Nights Watch. If you have any concerns about this please let me know

    Didnt you just left A Storm of Daggers HS because you were going to get a job and hadnt enough time? If you are free now and want to retake your possition there too, feel free to do it!

    I need to get a workers permit as I am not yet 16, but will be in a mounth.

    In storm of daggers, I left because I thought I could.... but cannot, you can be Lannister in that one... it was quite boring for me.

    Hmm only thing I want to add is that Stannis' fleet gets nerfed if you are to have Renly too

    I never played this mod, but my impression is by looking quickly at the factions, that Stannis+Renly is a better option otherwise Renly,alone, becomes a faction that nobody wants. Alone has no chances against the Targaryens.
    With Stannis it might have an advantage on the sea, but Targaryen would still have the advantage on land.

    About Bolton+NW getting too weak, I think that giving them a boost with money like +20k for each one of them, would certainly make them much more playable.
