    Default many answers to some questions

    EDIT: sorry for problem to read, I had problem with twc server and error 500, yesterday. The text comes from a portuguese article and is translated with google translation which is not perfect as we know...

    http://www.boainformacao.com.br/2013...des-pra-serie/

    1) Other than shogun 2, the shift is spent in 4 seasons (spring, autumn, winter and summer) where 4 shifts meant one year in Rome 2, a turn correspond to 1 year.

    2) The game will start around the year 275 BC and has about 300 turns.

    3) Now, a change will be in relation to the areas they are now grouped into provinces. Each province has its own central administration. The objective of this new system is easier to administering large empires. Another point is to make the players now out instead of taking a region with only one battle (as predecessors in the series) gamers can take the small regions of the province, thus avoiding fighting "overpowers" who defends (in shogun 2) forcing the opponent to leave its main castle and attack small regions taken.

    4) The option to ask allies attack enemies is back.

    5) Now you no longer need to recruit ships the part to make his army cross the sea, to make them walk on the water will now automatically embark on a ship, but you still needed a fleet to protect them.

    6) Now the naval battles occur in marine areas and in areas of no more fluid as the ocean predecessors. And you will be able to control maritime regions with their naval fleet

    7) Same as in shogun 2 where the generals had their skill trees, now his army will also have a skill tree.

    8) Probably the coolest news so far is that in Rome there will be a second system Legion Legacy. With the new skill system of units, you can create your own army with his legacy, and the best you can costumiza them. Already confirmed that you can change the name of the legion, giving the name you want, and you can create your own banner that will be taken to the battlefield. An example, you can create a legion called "The right hand of cesar" create your own flag, and destroy what you see ahead. It is still not confirmed if you can edit the unit completely, changing the weapon, and drive.

    9) Creating a legion, you will create a legacy. You can through the skill tree to direct his army for a purpose, for example, you can specialize them in "Siege" or in Portuguese, sites, making them gain a bonus to dominate cities. But the cool thing is that with this legacy system, if you lose ALL the soldiers in battle, the legacy will live on. Even going 20 years after his last soldier, new soldiers will raise the flag and follow the same legacy that their predecessors followed. Causing the player not lose their entire investment in the army which had.

    1) Units will now be able to hide in trees or in tall grass, to be located, it will be necessary to use a new unit (scout)
    2) New system of ambush. Now if you trap another army you can for your units anywhere on the map, and can for example (like the trailer) create objects like giant balls of straw flamejantes.O army qeu suffer ambush can not be armed in the field, they began marching to battle as if nothing had going and suffer the attack gone.
    3) Now there will map multiple capture points, and not more predecessor 1 to us. (CORRECTED)
    4) It is the height of the soldiers will vary and not the weight. Now there will be soldiers of different heights.
    5) The implementation of a new vision, "tactical view" or in Portuguese, tactical vision. Does an aerial view of the field of battle where you ~ and you can better control your units. But it is not possible to play through it, will only be a preview option.
    6) Now when Infantery are under a rain of arrows, they automatically raise the shield to protect themselves from arrows.
    7) units which have spears, unlike Rome and Medieval 2 total war where the same units stopped and threw their spears, now in rome 2 they can be thrown while unit moves
    8) New vision system, if the soldiers can not see the enemy on the battlefield, and also you can not see them
    9) The flaming pigs will be back

    10) AI's game now enhanced, two examples are that now they try to play flanquiar and if they open a hole in your wall, they will make a rush through the hole.

    11) Now the arrows may remain in armor and shield units.

    12) The producer wants to make every soldier a subject, or want to give life to every soldier in battle, each will have random animations, for example. Another example is that you are making use of first-person camera, you will be able to hear the captains of each unit talking to his soldiers, and each soldier will transpire fear, courage etc..

    13) different from all other series of the game, now when there is a fight where two units are facing each other, there will be no one animation where the unit is facing line by line, ie, the front and fought from behind were only positi ode combat, just replacing the dying forward taking his place. The goal is to make Rome 2 more barbara battle, bloody, all soldiers of the unit went into battle now.

    14) It is confirmed that there will be enough blood in the standard edition of rome 2 like the blood and gore of Shogun 2

    The embarkment is the "walking on water"-feature.

    What OP said, but different text layout:

    Mostly interested in these two. The grammar is very poor though, so maybe something was lost in translation?

    Basically, it says: Shogun II was 4 TPY, Rome II is 1 TPY

    It confirms the blood and gore in vanilla (doesn't cite any source, tough).

    As several of you asked:

    Translates as:
    13) Unlike the other games in the series, now, when two units engage in combat, we will not see that 1 on 1 animation in which soldiers fought row by row, or in other words, the ones in front of the unit fought while the ones in the rear stood ready, only replacing the ones that died in the front. The goal of Rome 2 is to render battles more barbarous, bloody, every soldier in the unit will engage in the battle

    Source: Boainformacao.com.br
    That's it, more or less.

    .
    But why do they differentiate between turn and "shifts"? Are we going to see a new feature that will divide your turn into 4 shifts so that you'll get to use all of the four seasons?
    Or is it just: BAD GOOGLE! BAD TRANSLATION!

    Well, I'm brazilian. Already done with 1, 13 and 14. Will see number 6.
    Keep in mind the original post was made by a member claiming these features were anounced by CA WITHOUT GIVING PROPER REFERENCES. So believe it (or not) at your own risk

    Ok, here's it:
    6) Infantry, when under an arrow rain, will raise automatically their shields to protect from the arrows

    Looks like a case of bad translation
    1) Diferente de shogun 2, que os turnos se passavam em 4 estações (primavera, outono, inverno e verão) aonde 4 turnos significavam 1 ano em Rome 2, um turno corresponderá a 1 ano.

    1) Other than shogun 2, the shift is spent in 4 seasons (spring, autumn, winter and summer) where 4 shifts meant one year in Rome 2, a turn correspond to 1 year.
    ~~~~~~
    The other number six translates as:
    6) Agora as batalhas navais ocorrem em regiões navais e nao mais em areas de oceano fluido como nos antecessores. E você será capaz de controlar regiões maritimas com sua Frota naval
    6) Now naval battles happen in sea regions instead of a continuous ocean. And you will be able to control sea regions with your navy.
    I think what 13 means is when any 2 opposing units collide it wont be like the first ranks are fighting while the next 5 ranks of men sit idle as if ready for battle but more like every unit will try and find an enemy and engage, im not sure I will like this for all factions (especially Rome) if I interpreted that correctly
