No more flag/banners inside the cities ,thank you CA/TW & RTR

As you can witness with the recent screenshots ,CA/TW have followed the idea of RTR.
After they adopted "fog of war" from another epic TWC modd as NTW 3 ,that brought that up into the modding comunity if im not mistaken,after they adopting the provinces/regions system from RTR ,if im not mistaken they were the pioniers now they adopted the no flag/banners inside the cities showing the size of the garrissson troops and or regular armies.

Only if on all the recent screenshots all the cities ,the player,mooved all the armies outside the cities on the moment of the screenshot.
I forgot to add, correct me please and explain why i can be wrong in my thought.

Flags provide at-a-glance information without cluttering cities with tags, info text etc. I see no reason to be against it, though people might not agree.

The flags are good as they show at a glance what faction owns what city, though I'm sure I'll cope without them. It's no problem for me, I'm happy to adjust either way.

Just a little history... Anyway the first mod to feature 'no flags' is Caius Britannicus's THE CRUSADES which the concept I also copied in my Imperator II Mod.

I'm guessing now there's no need for me to create Imperator Mod anymore since Rome II will feature the ability to name legions !

I rather send spies into city to find the strength of the enemy, Flags in city with garrison is too easy, map/mini map in colours in regions will tells you who owns it.

That was actually the only part I disliked about RTR, but I am open for changes if CA believes that is the right thing to do.

I disliked it in RTR because it removed information that I was supposed to have, I should be able to just take a glance at my cities and see how big my garrison is, how much income I'm getting and so forth. It is bad UI design. I don't mind hiding the information that I wouldn't have like how big garisson the AI have (unless I plant a spy in their city, I wouldn't know). But removing crucial information like that from the UI is just crippling and bad ui design. I looked for a solution for it on the RTR forum but it seemed like they were content with their design decision.

You must be kidding man! You could toggle flags off/on on cities since RTW! Hahaha! If you did not like them, you could just toggle them off with a simple key combination. Hahahah! I can not believe there are people concerned about that.

You press a certain key and it turns city flags off.

It's CTRL+T to toggle settlement flags
CTRL+N to toggle army banners

J = Toggle display standards <--- This is the one you're looking for

Pressing J while on the campaign map in Rome 1 you will disable all banners for both armies and settlements.

The topic is about not having anymore flags on the cities and not if we had the option to do it by pressing a button or not ,nothing else.
