Default Campaign UI & Battle UI: hate it or love it?

So since we have two pics from both a Pontus gameplay and a Rome gameplay it seems all factions will share the ui like shogun 2. While I was a fan of the shogun 2 ui I can't say I am terribly excited for this one.
It kind of looks modern while the transparent stuff makes it look kind of futuristic.
We were told each faction would be unique and I thinque the UI plays a big role into that.
So what do you guys think?

I like elements of it (unit cards, campaign minimap) - but I must admit it could look a bit more rustic.

    A complete triviality for me.

Love it, but I am all for minimalism in user interfaces.

Hate the battle UI mainly the unit cards and the campaign ui seems pretty cool. To be honest I'm too distracted beholding the beauty of the campaign map.

Battle UI is not great. Campaign one is, love the marble effect. I hope it will not be marble but wood for the 3 barbarian factions though.

It's not that I don't like it, it's just that it's different. After an hour or so I'll be used to it. Although I kinda miss the big buttons. They were awesome.

As long as they keep the battle map camera controls the same i'm fine.

It's not bad I guess, I do like that it's fairly minimalistic. Also I don't think all cultures with have the same UI, what we have seen so far is just the one for the Greco-Roman factions. I am sure the barbarians and eastern factions will look different.

The only part I don't like about the battle UI is the art style choice, but it's not terrible. For the campaign UI I don't understand all the buzz about minimalism, I want information upfront and given to me, I don't want things hidden or made really small so I can see more of the map or whatever they're aiming for.

The Unit cards are terrible , they are not only completely unfitting to the Rome theme , but are also anachronistic as retake a style from Prehellenistic greek age .

Hate the unit cards. I also don't care for the campaign minimap. It looks squished horizontally, and if the varying color tones for one faction exist purely out of artistic license (and don't, in fact, represent "rebel" territory or another faction altogether), all the more reason to dislike it.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
For example, the different shades of red throughout what appears to be the Roman faction territories. Never mind the icons covering up entire provinces on the right.

The rest of the UI looks fine. Sleek, minimalistic, functional.

Look at the date on the right minimap - 47 BC, that is why they are different shades, it is the civil war and those are the opposing factions.

    EDIT: I think.

Have we seen any new unit cards since that last update like a month ago?

one of my other problems with the UI is that everything is so spread out, the options are frigging everywhere while for shogun 2 were located in one place only.
Tim Ward's post pretty much covers it:

Which could be pretty much solved by moving 11-14 down to the left of 1.

then the UI loses its symmetry. Also you forgot to factor in resolution scalability, it needs to show a consistent feel/shape throughout various resolution.

UI designing is actually quite hard.
