    Hi there!

    1. Before installing Baron`s submod, did your TATW work?

    2. And, did you install fresh, and unedited TATW files patched only up to Patch 3.1?

    Thanks.
    1. Yes.
    2. My theory now is that I messed up the first installation which is messing up the others this is because when I "re-installed" the files it says you will have to overwrite them. So I may have repeating problem. Any way I can fix this problem?

Hello! Try to re-install both TATW and Baron's sub-mod. Make sure to install TATW only to the 3.1 version, or it will crash. Also, when installing Baron Samedi's sub.mod, also verify if you have installed the bugfixer as well.

    Hope it helps...

    1. What Windows do you have?

    2. Is your M2TW steam or non steam version?

    3. Where is your M2TW installed? Give us the correct folder destination.

Check out my Installation guide with pictures, since you have Windows 7, you have to do this first which is explained there:

    1. Edit the security for your main M2TW folder, unhide hidden folder, and, check Virtual Store for M2TW folder and delete it.

    2. Uninstall TATW using Start - Control Panel - Uninstall Programs.

    3. Delete manually Third_Age_3 folder in your Programfilesx86/Sega/MedievalIItotalwar/mods/ folder.

    4. Install TATW as instructed in my thread ( if you want Baron`s mod, you have to install TATW only up to 3.1 Patch, 3.2 Patch is not needed )

And, if you have space on your hard disk, make a copy somewhere of whole Third_Age_3 folder which you just installed so you can have it as a backup in case you screw up... next time you can just copy paste it back and install another submod, or, make dual installations and play more submods at the same time.

    Good luck with the installation!

yes you can . deleting the Third_age_3 older or removing it via control panel deletes it completely , leads to a longer reinstall but it is possible , or did you mean ou can't remove the sub-mod and leave third age vanilla ?

edit:ninja'd by the super helpful sir i'll take my leave now..

I see you have tried to install MOS Submod aswell, did you make dual installation, or, uninstalled MOS and made a fresh install of TATW patched up to 3.1 version? Baron's is for 3.1, while MOS is for 3.2, doing all these installations at the same time can conflict with eachother if you don't know what you are doing..

    Does your vanilla TATW work?

I used a fresh TATW to re-install Baron and I did uninstall Mos. I am so close to giving up. It is really annoying. How can something so @!":#~} simple is messing up?

Only other thing I would recommend is to uninstall completely M2TW, use CCleaner to clear Registry leftovers, and install M2TW from scratch, BUT, this time install it OUTSIDE of Program Files folder, this way you will eliminate VirtualStore problems. Then install TATW, CHECK does TATW work first, and if it works, make a backup of it somewhere for future issues( so you can just copy paste it back for another submod).

Also, if you want Baron's submod installed, you have to point the installation to the location of your TATW, be sure to change it if it is not in the default location. And, there is almost no support for Baron's submod cause he hasn't been around for long time.
