To me Aleaxandria Looks Imensely poor and Small compared to the Majestic views of Carthage of the original videos , perhaps they have reduced the Intentions of the grand scale to minor requirements?

I love the fact ports are attached to the main city - so you can directly attack the city from the sea, honestly it's going to be insane.

Alexandria is on campaign map and Carthage is on battlefield.

If you watch well the video you see that they put a cloud in the middle when shifting from the Large city that seemed to be Alexandria to the Battlefield version of The same City , so this is much probably the Battlefield version and IMO looks definetly poor ... It seems smaller than a Shogun 2 Large Castle map and definetly not even comparable to the City of Cartage of the first Video preview ...

Also its Definetly Alexandria because of the Potition and the Lighthouse .

But i did not said its not Alexandria . I dont think its battlefield view but campaign view .The cloud is just a effect for the video as Cleopatra is,my opinion.

you can see it is actually quite legit. Also Carthage was a HUGE trade node in the western mediterranean and the core of their civilization, more like Rome itself.

Perhaps just like Shogun the city will be upgraded and become larger? You always find something to pick and you don't even give it a chance.

.. Tis' is not good. Alexandria an cultural heart of the old world. One of the largest cities of the time, and we don't even know how large it was to this day. Satellites 'just' found more again.. CA. Fix!

About Cartage they nailed it pretty well in the first video , its look , its disposition etc ... but Alexandria is quite a disapointment ..

Check the Real Alexandria of Cleopatra's times ....

You are joking, the city looks huge, maybe not as huge as carthage but a lot has to do with angle. But the city itself is still pretty big.

I've got a feeling that this is the city view that was promised, and that we still will get a totally different experience when it comes time to do battle for the city. I mean, for god's sake, the wall there in the screen for Alexandria - when trying to scale in my mind - seems like it's about as tall as the palace, so that's got to be at least 50 feet or so (15 or so meters for all you non-Americans ). Thus when you say it "looks small," uh duh, of course it looks small, you're not down at the actual city level like you are in Carthage. When they began the zoom in you could see this sprawling city, and this is just a quick city view thing that you can do if you really find it valuable. If I had a unit of legionaries to march next to the city, I'm pretty sure you would see what I mean.

Personally I hope they have not toned down nothing for the minimum req. because if someone wants to paly such a game MUST equip with a proper machine.
However I agree with saxdude. The city is large and we don't know how they will grow by the time. I mean Rome was already huge and the largest and also Carthage was. About Alexandria we don't know if that is a city made for the trailer and if we can see it growing more.

Based on my knowledge, Alexandria was small compared to Carthage. Anyone have actual facts about the size of the 2 cities instead of basing comparisons on pictures?
