Default Different types of battles - land and sea - confirmed

One of the new articles reveals that there will indeed be several different battle types:

    Land
    Walled city battles
Siege to take control of the capital of a province
    Settlement outskirts battles
Battle to take control of a standard region.
    Field battles
    Standard battle type.
    River battles
    Attacking/ defending across a river.
    Encampment battles
    A fortified army is attacked.
    Ambush battles
    An army is ambushed.
    Supply train battles
An army that's force-marching is attacked.

    Sea
    Open sea battles
    Port siege battles

    Combined land/sea coastal battles

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Whilst this may not be the full list, we’ve managed to get a rundown of the different types of battles that a player could experience whilst playing Rome 2.

On the Land, these are: Walled City battles, Settlement Outskirts battles, field battles, combined land/sea coastal battles, River battles (as in, attacking/defending across a river), Encampment battles (when you attack a fortified army), Ambush battles (which we’re told will be very different to previous games) and Supply Train battles, which is what happens when you’re attacking an army that’s force-marching.

On the Navy side, there are: Port siege battles, open sea battles and of course the land/sea coastal battles.

The port siege battles sound particularly fun; if Rhodes doesn't have a siegable city, will it at least have a siegeable port?

    Probably not

I wonder what will happen if you have a fleet next to the "bridge" over the Nile and fight a battle.

    It's getting closer.....

Sea to land battles are my favourite new feature.

It was awful - something about laying siege to Cleopatra's port.

@Sharpe I was about to ask which port. And whether you need to take care of the pharos island.
