What are your critics to the new Video and feature showed?

But don't get me Wrong I love the game and I do not care for much of what I am criticizing ... I am just nitpicking things that I would have hoped to be different .

I 'll start


The Bad

• I see Ramsete Chariots,
• I see the speech of Cleopatra is based on what? Since when she said it was based her going in bed with a Roman just couse alliance and not love?
• Why the Roman looks like having theHairs of Elton John?
• Still no Bridles -_-
• Imperial times Legionaries versus ramsete styled troops
• Samnites on board of ships?
• Face clonings on back of Cleo officers
• Cleo Sister was murdered by her orders actually
• Should that Guy be Octavian? He was not really a first line fitghter and was tall and Blond .
• Units seem low res by close and some clipping issues on animations , perhaps not precise rig .
• What's with Cleopatra strange accent?
• Dimensions of Cities , proportions of features compared to Map are overexagerated .
• Cartoonish look of the map .
• Where is the Political Intrigue promised ? Any Interaction ?
• The City of Alexandria Looks quite small and nothing compared to the Old Views of Carthage showed in the beginning ... Is that a Temporary solution?
• Camel Riders For Egypt?

There is also some thing s I appreciate though

The Good

• I like the Map , despite it seems a bit cartonish
• The Cities seems massive , but so massive that when looked from aerial view they seem to be too large
• The final drawing of Cleopatra and Marcus Antonius ( I guess ) looks good .
• Hey its a new trailer
• Cleopatra got a Character we saw what could be the Battle of Actium?
• Navigable Nile

I would like that Fanboys keep away from that thread as I just want to read critics in positive or negative comments and wich one is everyonelse opinion .... so do not commento on each other's opinions with insults and taunting please .

I assume it's a mix for variety's sake. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

What did she sound like? I suppose the current exotic 'Latin-ish' accent is fitting. Better her speaking like that than some Yorkshire lass.

It's very vivid - perception is subjective though.

I have seen places where it was heavily hinted that she did everything for the independence of Egypt, and that all she did romance-wise with the important Roman figures was out of necessity, and indeed not love. I don't know where I read it, but I read somewhere that the one she actually truly loved was one of a station too low for her. And that they were perhaps buried together.

Just because Alex and his generals pay'd a visit I don't see why they'd change their entire culture- It'd be a mix. Hellenistic together with.. Uuhh Ramsete. Egyptian Culture is strong, it swayed those invading the land more often than the invaders have swayed the land.. That sounded weird, but I hope you understand.

Like most you've said I agree. This and much else you've pointed out bugged me as well. Bugged yet it didn't irritate me. I'd have preferred to have been left in awe though.

It looks fantastic, the romans look awesome, and ceaser is blonde. Also the egyptien warriors are those we saw in the preview.

About the ships ,guys,this is still in Beta .
Will wrote on a topic around here that after the release of Greek culture pack they are reforming the nations colours,example, Pontus is now yellow and black.
So many ,many things will be fixed as we all hope.

It looked amazing, bar the ridiculous ease with which the ship carved through the other one.

Appallingly easy - should be a tad more realistic (as in actually stopping the charging ship).

At 1.18: the galley cut in two parts the ennemy galley, did you see that the rows are not here (both of the ships)?

Miles, it's a freaking battleship(probably a octere) hitting a liburnian or something. Yeah, it does look unrealistic, but hopefully it won't be always that catastrophic.

I enjoyed the trailer as I will be playing Egypt first, so maybe I get to play as Cleopatra and then Rome will come to me so I might have to prepare for a war with them. Sounds exciting.

Honestly i enjoyed every frame nothing that i dislike so far.

The campaign map is awesome, romans are sexy, really i'm so excited!

From what we know, Cleopatra was a very skilled and determined politician. Plus the speech obviously shows her own propaganda rather than an unbiased version.

Hm, I didn't see them quite clearly, but I think they weren't particularly Bronze Age looking. Could just be some native Egyptian unit.

And you know CA - they've gone more arcade-esque since Shogun. Just look at the speed of pila/arrows etc. It's plain daft, and detracts from the realism.

Now I'm not a total accuracy freak, but when its so plainly ridiculous it ruins the immersion IMO.

Although, bar that one real irritation the game looks really well, and appears to be shaping into something fantastic.

As long as we get the good diplomacy options (give/demand/exchanging regions, retraining unit armour etc) then I am a happy camper.

I agree absolutely, maximum speed was something like 10 miles per hour or at most 9 knots. But I have to say this again, it seems like a scripted/orchestrated attack because -

the rammed ship is much smaller
the rammed ship is on fire(very close to sinking)
the rammed ship is hit in the most vulnerable part
the ramming ship is using it's highest speed

It reminds me of how in NTW you could have some huge ship with a fire going on and then you put a broadside in and she just plain explodes like a 5-tonne bomb. I've had the same happen in "Grand Fleet" when you smash a 32-gun frigate with a broadside from a 74-carronade ship of the line. It's just catastrophic damage.

What I didn't like or am indifferent to or found comical:

Somewhat strange appearance of Attica and Euboea
I didn't see any heavy Egyptians
Video too short
No oars during the ramming sequence. Weird
Napoleonic Era Alarm Bell for the ship on fire
Hastati in 47 BCE? Hmm...
The White Antler Feathers of the Roman centurion. Maybe a symbol that he's been on campaign for too long?
Why don't Army commanders have helmets? It's awesome that they have shields and know how to use them, but why no helmets?

What I liked/loved:
The campaign map is absolutely mouth-watering
The surprising accuracy of campaign level Alexandria. Wow.
Pretty much everything else.

I disagree on that , To me Alexandria looks a slightly larger than a Castle in Shogun 2 with some more buildings, it looks not cared like they did for Cartage and looks much smaller than it was in reality , and smaller than Cartage as well ...
Actually this at that time ( befoure Rome become a Metropolis of 1 million inhabitants ) it was that the biggest city of the ancient world , and instead it looks like a small walled town .
