When I have and many others have said countless times how it could work with more players. I don't see how CA cant work a system around this and make it work god are they that lazy????? Countless times people have said it can work easily but I guess CA cant see that what ever I guess. And to say they don't have the resources to make a 4 player campaign work is just a weak excuse if you ask me.
When it is a 40 to 50 % bigger budget than ever before with more people working on a total war than ever before, it does seem a weak excuse. Lazy? probably. But are the majority going to miss it? I'm not so sure.

I agree that it's kind of disapointing that there's a 2-player limit but maybe the engine can't handle it, or needs a lot of modification to be able to handle it. I don't know anything about the engine so I'm just guessing. But if that would be the case I hope they'll eventually add the feature to play the coop with more people as a form of "free-LC" as they call it.

Looking at the map, there is an island that probably rapresent Malta, but is position suggest me that belong to the Syracuse region even if at time was owned by punics.

    That's what the article says!
    And look at this picture:

There are 9 units in that Roman army, and it's about a quarter of the way full.

Good spot. I'm looking forward to creating some custom battles with forty unit armies fighting each other just imagine that. That is insane.

Hate to be the devil's advocate but the bars never go past the "eagle sign".

So therefore that army is actually half full and not a quarter.

There's a lot of grammar errors in that article and given the fact that CA directly stated it's 20 units it's not impossible to imagine that the article made a typo or misinterpreted the information.

Each army is 20 units max but in battle it can go up to 40 units.

On that matter are those regions or provinces represented on the mini map?

Probably some kind of warrior agent im guessing kind of like the french, english and american officers you could embed in your armies to train them

    An agent, a 'champion' presumably.

Take a look at those 'strategy informer' links if you haven't already. Lots of info.

I don't like the models for armies and such.

I do like literally everything else in the picture, though.
Dominion of Dust. A city of sand. Built your world of nothing. So how long did it stand?
A 100 years? Now wasn't it grand? Built your world of nothing. How long did it stand?
What did you think would happen? When did you think it would all fall down?
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Did yourself right, so let's feel grand.
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Now there's nowhere left to stand.

I wonder if it means we can have a full stack reinforcing a full stack, 80 units at once? Surely not?!

Would be great if a CA rep would confirm that you can indeed have 40 units in one army, given we've now heard conflicting things...

They confirmed barely a few days ago that it will work like in S2 or FOTS, stacks of 20 with 40 units if 2 stacks are in close proximity. I doubt that changed overnight. The article is likely just wrong and probably means up to 40 units can be controlled.

But they didn't say that a few days ago. They said that months ago.

Or have I missed something completely?

I think they have changed it!!!! If Ca has done this I will be more of a happy camper then becuase 40 units in one army is sorely needed as I said before. Armies can have up to 40 individual units within them GOD I hope so!
