Maybe now we can all calm down about this being a reskinned Shogun 2?
I'm getting a kick out of the four horse chariots on the top left, can't wait to see a mass of them doing their thing!

Point out the obvious here but even an explosion looks like its holding formation in a still screen shot.

We can see from the other pictures that the Romans do not hold their rectangular formations, yet it's promised by CA that there is something that defines the bonus which some units get while in 'formation'. But we do simply don't know what the conditions for the formation bonus is. Tomorrow we might get something sweet going.

@BeastG33: Yes, some units have a new attribute that wasn't in Shogun II, which makes them try to keep formation.

Look at those BAMF ballistae. Glorious.

A few new pictures here: http://blogs.sega.com/2013/06/11/tot...me-ii-e3-2013/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/segaamerica/8981193019/ this one shows distinctly Hellenistic troops for the Egyptians (pikmen on the bottom left), along with native-egyptians units (facing north), so don't worry guys, we are not in the bronze age.

Care to add all the new pictures to the OP Matolo, so thy are all in one place, please?

Default New Campaign Screenshot: Sparta and Athen

    From SEGA/CAs E3 presentation

Ok, I think, the campaign map is big enough. Dear gods of CA please make the AI challenging and you will be my greatest heroes in Software development!

Also a question: why are most of the coastlines cliffs? Does that mean we can only land with ships on the very few beaches on the camp map?

    Nice.
Dominion of Dust. A city of sand. Built your world of nothing. So how long did it stand?
A 100 years? Now wasn't it grand? Built your world of nothing. How long did it stand?
What did you think would happen? When did you think it would all fall down?
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Did yourself right, so let's feel grand.
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Now there's nowhere left to stand.

Obviously. But still. Soon they'll be invading Bactria in the far east as well...

This is nothing. Wait until you see an image of Spartan armies in India with commanders who have the Bhuddist trait. I hope-ah-hope

I bet people said something similar in 47 BC as well.
