mods installation

hello i have been playing medieval2tw vanilla version for years and now i have decided to install some mods.the thing is that i have messed things up!!!the read me files are really confusing and even though i have tried mybest,not only there are no changes but i also get the unspecified error thing!!the mods i have tried to install are

clouds across europe( i have ran the installation buteven thoughthe mod's files appear in programm files there are no changes in the game)
strat models for cities and castles(i dont know where exactly to put the data.also,the instructions say about the io file first.i try to copy that line in the cfg file but the computer doesnt let me do it)
hrsm(i have tried to follow the instructions but now tne game crashes)
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I don't remember anything about Clouds Across Europe install. I've been playing Kingdoms mod too long. Maybe he only overwrote certain files and not all so most of the game you are seeing is still vanilla for this reason.
The strat model mod goes in the game's data folder.
