Default Upcoming Third Age Let's Play "2 Army Campaign System"

I've wanted to tryout a simple more organized way to dominate high difficulty campaigns and I've thought of a system. The 2 Army System.

DEFENSE MODE ACTIVATED FOR FIRST 15 TURNS!!!

    2 Armies Campaign System

    1 Main Army

    1 Garrison/Reserve Army

    Main Army: Leader, 5 Heavy Cavalry, 5 Swords, 5 Spears , & 4 Bows

Garrison Army: Heir, 5-10 Militia, 5-10 Bows, 5-10 Bow Cavalry/Heavy cavalry

    Objective:

Main Army is the forward vanguard to clear armies, take settlements, and absorb the brunt of the damage.

    After the main army completes its objective;

Second army occupies captured settlement, holds position, consolidates position, and territory.

Main Army's New Objective: Replenish Troops, return to recently captured settlement, and apply garrison.

Garrison must consist of 5-6 units: 2-3 spear/sword Militia, and 2-3 bow militia

After Garrison is chosen, both army group 1 and 2 set out again and repeat process.

Each settlement captured should be repaired, converted, and upgraded during army group 2's garrison.

All settlements should be slaughtered to prevent uprising and promote larger income and growth rates from the lowered taxes.

    5N5A Rules 5 Never 5 Always

1: Never buy more units than what is needed or else you'll be in debt.

2: Never overextend your armies; keep your armies together as a reserve/backup. If one army group fails, the
other is there to finish off the enemy. Your allowed to lose many units, but you shall not lose a battle for your enemy to
    capitalize on your vulnerability.

3: Never buy units based on their looks, buy what you need to efficiently destroy the enemy.

4: Never Repeat the 2 Army System without first leaving a sufficient garrison. If you don't garrison enough, your enemy will
possibly capture your settlement, and force you a step back from obtaining new settlements. You pretty much wasted time.

5: Never start a war on multiple fronts; multiple 2 Army systems can work on multiple fronts, but it's more expensive,
macro intensive, and it's not as fun.

1: Always fight with multiple armies.

2: Always seek peace. Peace is great for wasting time, replenishing armies, and making money. You can always
break a peace to make war again. Exploit peace for profit or respite.

3: Always fight one enemy at a time. Seek and destroy! No mercy!

4: Always seek to improve your generals and family members in battle.
Make them better for battle and administration of your Empire.

5: Always conserve resources in case of failure or misuse of the 2 Army System. Remake two armies ASAP!!!

These are the basics. Anything else or new that your comfortable with can apply.

    Nice read.
It's not a question of where it grips it. It's a simple questions of weight ratios; a five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.

Hmmm, similiar to what i do when i go on a rampage. 2 armies, a primary and reserve. First army is the siege army and second is field army, but siege army gets reinforced by the field army as units die and field army leaves behind units as well in conquered settlements always keeping the siege army at full strength. Field army also deals with any small/medium annoying stacks that are around.

    Anyway, nice read.

Yes. all good but....What faction are you playing? You can't do those things early on as Gondor because you are struggling to keep up with Mordor's stack spam in the first place. Also where do you get all the Cav from? Im guessing you mean mid game strategy when you are built up more and ready to go. I agree with alot of the strategy but sometimes you have to be flexible and go where oportunity knocks and taking two stacks doesn't always make sense

.As Mordor i fight Gondor Rohan and Mirkwood Elves all at once. 4 stacks against 3 nations. It works welll as long as i keep a reinforcement pipeline. Up north i just like to limit the elves army factory to Thraduils palace. Once all other settlements are sacked i don't care if they briefly get retaken its time to finish off the final troop producing city of the Elves and then they are scrwed. Then i can go back and retake the tiny settlements at ease. One stack at a time works fine up north and alows me to hit Gondor with Two stacks and Keep Rohan in chaos by attacking the Westfold. Have to be able to adapt to need.

The strategy sounds good if i am mid game playing as Gondor however. And i like the idea of trying a system of capture and hold.
